The Primetime stuff was great, hope we get to see that on TV over here soon. Also that UFC on Fox 3 card sounds amazing already!

ESPN is free this weekend so you can watch Diaz live. Great stuff.

Koscheck beating Pierce was a 100% robbery. Terrible decision.

I agree

Jeez, Roy Nelson is one tough guy.

I love watching Roy Nelson he is one of MMa's great characters

Condits strategy worked a charm on Diaz - much as I would of loved to see Diaz fight GSP
Condit won 4 out of the 5 rounds IMHO

Diaz fight was close, probably the right result though.

Shame though to be quite honest, as I wanted to see Diaz take the belt and hold onto it until GSP is able to return, because after how disrespectful Diaz was to GSP, that would of been a massive fight.

Condit/GSP eventually happening doesn't hold anywhere near as much interest really, because if GSP is able to get back to full health and the level he was previously at, then we all know how that one goes.

I hadn't 'watched UFC for a while (gave up ESPN) so I took advantage of the 'free weekend' and just watched it back. Seemed alot duller than I remember it with the most memorable moment of the night (sadly) the DIaz interview...

I'm a fan but not a fan of Diaz. He was arrogant throughout talking trash. I was glad he lost.

the Diaz one was so tight and i could see why he thought he won but carlos landed more shots.

he was an a hole in his interview but made a solid point about how fights are being won.

i agree, Kos is dull and lucky

No event till a week on Wednesday now. Seems a long time after having 4 weekend events in a row.

After March 3rd there's a gap of 6 weeks with no event. Don't know how I will cope.

Nah, I had Koscheck winning 29-28 giving him rounds two and three. Surprised Herb didn't take a point away for the eye poke, especially after he had been warned on more than one occasion about it. Boring fight though.

i found that odd too, he warned him about it, he then poked him in the eye and then he continued to stick his fingers out after that.

Think the judges gave him the fight on Pierce's cut and the 2nd round takedown, which is stupid because Pierce's cut was caused by an accidental headbutt and Koscheck did nothing with his takedown.

Kos should have had a point deducted for the 2nd eyepoke. Notice how he immediately shot in and completed a takedown in the 3rd after being warned again? Dirty fighter.

Roy Nelson gets out of Werdum's guard and Fedor gets subbed. Where's the justice, was hoping Roy would deck him if only for starting Fedor's decline.

Really wasn't to see The Demolition Man Overeem again, not too many super fights on the horizon, Silva, GSP, Dan Henderson.

i know a Silva v Gsp fight would generate a lot of interest but I would see Silva being too big and strong for GSP and would overwhelm him
Henderson has a punchers chance against Silva but again I think he would make Dan look foolish

the big fight I would love to see is Jon Jones V Silva now that really would be an interesting contest

and for the record I think Sonnen will beat Silva in the rematch which will really throw a spanner in the works

No clue whether it's going ahead right now or not, all up in the air at the moment. A possibility that Diaz has/will fail a drug test, no clue regarding that right now though, could be utter nonsense, though this is Diaz. Should be interesting to see what happens here.

Keith Kizer has confirmed Diaz failed for marijuana, so it would have been ruled a no contest even if he'd won

Diaz had a previous fail @ Pride 33 vs Takanori Gomi where it was ruled he had so much marijuana in his system he was clearly using it as a painkiller and as such it was a performance enhancing drug.

So that's the end of that, I'd imagine.

Well what a downer that was. I was so pumped for UFC 143 and the Diaz/Condit fight especially and it was a total letdown. Yet again Josh Koscheck put everyone to sleep with his boring lay and pray tactics and there he was blatantly cheating again aswell. Then the main event which I thought would be fireworks was basically Condit throwing the odd kick then circling away whilst Diaz punched air and showboated like a fool despite clearly being behind in the fight.

Fair play to Condit, he did get the job done but the barnstorming fight I expected never came close to happening so I was majorly disappointed.

I think what was worse was that with watching all the previews and Primetime shows, I actually came to like Diaz and change my opinion of him. I previously thought the guy was a massive prick but then changed my mind and thought maybe he was just an odd, quiet character who isn't comfortable with the spotlight. I ended up rooting for him and then he went and ruined it by acting like a prize idiot at the end of the fight. First he throws his toys out of the pram by threatening to retire because the fight never went his way (newsflash Nick, try actually fighting instead of punching air and showboating for 4 rounds) then he goes and fails a drug test again after too!!

Seriously Nick Diaz is his own worst enemy. I'd cut the guy straight off this time. Imagine the fallout had he won the interim belt only to then have it held up again when he failed his test. What a joke.

On the upside UFC 144 looks AMAZING on paper, so let's hope this one lives up to expectations.
