a decent card overall, the flyweight fights were fought at an excellent pace and the main event had a top ending.
are we in limbo with TUF? or does FX decide to keep it? McCall vs. Johnson will be a rematch. Johnson won by majority decision....until they realized the Australian commissioner incorrectly wrote down judge Sal D'Amato's score for the 3rd round of a 10-8 McCall. The fight has now been ruled a draw and had it been correctly announced as a draw we would've had a sudden victory 4th round. An overtime if you will. Rematch is set for April. Unbelievable. Terrible mistake from the Australian commissioner. |

Never seen an ending like that before. Alves is an idiot.

Ronda Rousey is just an animal. She'll snap your god damn arm of no matter what, man I love this girl.
Edit: Shot of the arm of Tate, incredible that she didn't tap out and managed to fight on for a few more minutes after that. http://i.imgur.com/5TVPA.jpg |

Well I didn't see the end of Kampmann vs Alves because ESPN handily chopped off the majority of the 3rd round AGAIN, just like they did on the last FX show of Davis vs Rashad.
Seriously this is a joke. Can ESPN not make sure you get the whole show instead of chopping the end of your recording each and every time? |

Another great weekend of MMA. I couldn't believe the Mighty Mouse decision at the time so I'm glad it was ruled an error. As much as I love him fights there was no way he won.
ESPN really need to get their act together, as the above poster said. MMA is the only reason I subscribe to them so if they continue to mess things up I might consider cancelling. It won't be a problem for the next show, though as I've got tickets for UFC Sweden! Can't wait! |

Really enjoyed the Rousey vs Tate fight. It's a shame Strikeforce don't have a TV deal over here.
No event now for 6 weeks though!

I'm going to check out the Strikeforce event again online. Will see how it is. Dana does need to speak to whoever about getting them on UK TV though if they expect it to be taken seriously.

..I still think Marloes Coenen could beat Ronda Rousey, shes infinitely a better striker than Tate, her only big problem is to stop Ronda from bull-rushing her into a clinch and throwing her with an uchi-mata.

Coenen seemingly having better striking isn't really an advantage what so ever. Rousey wont be letting her stand and strike and Coenen would be aware and pretty worried about what Rousey is going to do, so it'd be unlikely she'd just stand and start trying to strike with her. Right now it's tough to see anybody stopping Rousey. Kaufman probably next in line, but I see this ending even sooner than this fight did. And of course Cyborg is out with her suspension (and now that would be one fight that would have made an unbelievably interesting match up). It's just tough to see anybody stopping Ronda any time soon. |

Even assuming they'd take her back- which I'd guess is unlikely given the amount of heat on her when she failed and that Dana doesn't like women fighting anyway- she isn't fighting Rousey at 135. |

Cyborg walks around at 170 pounds+ and can't get to 135. The only reason Strikeforce had a 145 pound women's title was because Cyborg couldn't cut to 135.

That all said, whether it does eventually happen or not, it wont be for quite some time and there's certainly challenges for Rousey. |

In other news (cant edit my post for some reason):
JDS/Overeem set for 146. Lil Nog out of his fight with Gustaffsson, Thiago Silva replaces him. And Edgar gets an immediate rematch against Henderson. |

Which is why if the fight happened it wouldn't be at 135. Rousey has and can compete at 145. IF Cyborg does eventually return in the future and Rousey has destroyed every single competitor in her path (which is a big possibility), there's very little chance that they'd pass up trying to make this match happen.

Cain will finish Mir in a round, Big Nog dropped Mir twice in their last fight. Velasquez just needs to drop you once to finish the fight.

they did show the whole thing, the issue was it over ran but you can either do a manual record or just tape the next thing too.
i learnt my lesson with them a long time ago. |
