Fedor vs Werdum was much more shocking.

Last night Anderson was an idiot, and if he fought smart and hard he'd probably have finished Weidman.

If you've got the tools to finish the fight then get the job done.

Fight like Mike Tyson because you'll get more fans just doing what you are actually paid to do..

Showboating and clowning around is boring to watch

Glad the humble spider made a **** out of himself.

Hopefully now he'll come back and stop all the nonsense and get his title back in the brutal and no nonsense fashion he's capable of.

UFC apparently want to do a rematch in New Jersey the night before the Superbowl next year (also in New Jersey) which if it comes off will likely be one of their biggest shows ever.

It was inevitable his title reign was going to end like that, it's been coming for years, since the Demian Maia fight.

Interesting to see if how motivated he'll be for the rematch.

If he won that fight, everybody would be going "WOW...THIS GUY!". He loses it and suddenly it's "What a clown".

Greatest in the history of MMA. I don't believe for one moment that was Silva anywhere near his best and if he really wanted to, could of walked out of this fight with the belt. Just hope we get to see him a couple of more times, which I doubt will be for the title or middleweight fights. The moment he lost that match a smile must of appeared on all of the top middleweight fighters faces.

Loved that ending.

Only just popped back on here and haven't read through all the other pages so forgive me if this has been talked about....but do you think Virgin Media are going to get BT Sports stuff? And if so I wonder how much extra programming they will air seeing as I've seen that said.

I hope so as we changed from Sky back to Virgin some months ago and I really wish we hadn't. The Tivo box is dire, really fiddly and annoying as hell to use (and this is someone who embraces technology and can work my way around most things easily) and never fails to wind me up on the simplest of things. Broadband has been way better admittedly, but the TV I miss badly. I just hope now that Virgin are getting BT Sports otherwise I really will be wound up about the switch.

Thought the Aldo V Zombie was a very dissapointing affair - I am Aldo's biggest Fans but he was so reserved these days that it is cramping his style
the overall card was a let down as well to be honest

The problem with that fight was Aldo broke his foot in the 1st rd. Thats why he was so reserved. Zombie hadnt fought for over a year, ring rust then the injury spoiled that fight.

The co main event was disapointing, imo machida won that fight.

I disagree Machida did not do enough and Davis took control at the end of each round.. the crowd can boo all they want the result was the right one

The thing that bugs me about the current UFC is the pay they get

the Korean Zombie got a paltry 20 thousand bucks for fighting for the World title
5 of the fighters only got 6 thousand dollars

with Dana White constantly telling everyone that the UFC is bigger than every other sport out there including Man Utd and the New York Yankees
it is time the pay reflected that

one of the big bust ups the UFC have had in recent years was with ESPN who said publicy that the UFC needs to start paying them a lot more

Shane Carwin fought for the heavyweight title and received $30.000
I see big splits coming in the UFC unless this issue is addressed soon

The Machida decision was awful. Not the worst I've ever seen but yeah, pretty shocking judging. Davis barely hit Machida throughout the fight and basically used the strategy of "I'll take him down with about 30-45 seconds left in the round to try to score points". In reality he did nothing with those takedowns and it seems the judges didn't bother scoring Machida for the amount of takedowns he actually avoided. Sometimes the judging can be baffling, another case here.

Had a feeling the Sonnen fight would go that way although not in the 1st round
Conor came through his first big test against better opposition
and Hats off to Brad Pickett for the pounding he took and still came back for more - Mcdonald has a huge future in front of him

An absolute classic last night.

Poor decision for me though and the 49-46 was an embarrassment. Sensational fight, poor judging.

I have just finished watching the event and it was a very good event indeed.

The main event, wow, what more did Gustafsson have to do?! What a fight! Credit to both men, perhaps a re-match sometime soon, as that would be very good to see.

I don't think Gustaffson should seek a re-match, let the dust settle from this one, let him take on somebody like Glover Texiera and then come for Jones again, Alexander clearly has the tools available to beat Jones but he still isn't there yet, I think Jones should take on Cormier next at 205 or catchweight of 215.

I think Gustaffson shaded the fight... he sure messed up Jones big time after the fight Jones looked like a road crash victim
that fight will long live in Jones memory - Great fight

Holy shit. Gilbert Melendez vs. Diego Sanchez was ****in' awesome. Joe Rogan saying it's the best fight he's ever seen. It was up there for sure.

An absolute war and incredible fight but that was to be expected really, usually is when it involves Sanchez.

Bloody brilliant event from start to finish.

Brilliant fight, Sanchez is an incredible warrior. How he took some of those shots and then came back was beyond me.

Fight of the year and decade so far. Very possibly my favourite fight, ever.

Ooh.

They can repeat "never leave it in the hands of the judges" as much as they like but that ending doesn't help UFC. Hendricks got screwed on the decision, and GSP apparently retires as champion. That is a cluster fruitcake, as Mark Kermode might say.
