Speaking of "greatest of all time", (to which despite this drug problem I do still think Spider is), where does Fedor rank?
I suppose not fighting in UFC does hurt him in these sort of debates, but being undefeated for as long as he was, was still a very impressive feat. Yeah the end to his career was not the best, but I still think of him as one of the best. |

Didn't look impressive? He went in there and basically dominated the fight for five rounds.
Let's not start getting silly just because this has all come to light. Silva is arguably the greatest of all time, the idea that the UFC wouldn't want him back is absolute madness. The situation is unclear is all I'm saying. |

he is one of the best for sure! I dont think think the lack of UFC fights hurts him one bit to be honest. At the time, Pride was the number 1 fight league in the world. His performances were unbelievable, he was the best heavyweight fighter ever seen no doubt.

My saving begins this month for Vegas to see Aldo VS McGregor.
Can't say Saturday's card is too exciting but you never know, could end up being superb. Haven't made my picks yet. Very excited about Faber VS Edgar being announced tho. |

There are reports Anderson failed the day of the show drug test as well.

just cannot get excited about that fight Frankie will finish this in the 1st round for sure just far too strong for Faber
![]() Frankie is quicker than Faber but no way is he stronger! Both are very good wrestlers but I think it'll stay standing and that will mean a Frankie win by decision. Nobody is getting finished in that fight unless Faber can get a choke. |

Just watched it all, was a pretty poor event overall. I thought Max Holloway vs Cole Miller was the best fight. Holloway keeps showing how good Conor McGregor is! All credit to Benson Henderson too. Moving up a weight class on short notice and finishing his opponent, very impressive. |

I like Benson's determination in that fight, it looked like it was a matter of time until he got stopped, but he turned it around, and got the tap out.
A shout out to "Cowboy" as well after the fight! |

Well just watched Fight Night 60. Not a great event as Matt_Maher said.
Some interesting fight cards coming up. Mir v Big Foot both past their best, but might be an interesting fight, side note but its funny I was only thinking what ever happened to Wes Sims, his and Mir's fights were comical. UFC 184 Rousey v Zingano. not a big fan of women's UFC and even a lesser fan of Rousey..... I think Cat might cause an upset. April sees Gonzaga v Cro Cop 2, what's everyone's thoughts on Cro Cop returning? And talking of returns UFC 186 sees the return of Rampage... Quinton Jackson I'll skip the Dillashaw/Barão 2 Machida/Rockhold and Edgar/Faber fights but the interesting one I did notice was Cormier v Bader in June, Cormier coming off a loss to Jones and now fighting Bader who a lot of people do not rate as a fighter even though he's ranked at no 5. |

Presumably the only reason CroCop is returning is they were worried he could get a good tv rating for Bellator
Personally I don't really see the appeal of watching clearly well past their prime legends. Hopefully he doesn't get badly knocked out. |

I'm like you JCR, don't like seeing legends returning to fight past their prime but Dana must think there's money to be made to sign it off.
The other thing that's starting to bother me is the amount of booing that's becoming apparent during fights, ive followed UFC and MMA since 2001 (UFC 30), and okay we are always going to have 'boring' fights but do the crowds think by booing that they will inspire the fighters to up their game and go for that spectacular knockout punch that everyone is looking for. Personally I think booing is disrespectful to the two guys ( or women ) fighting. My opinion. |

Bader is like watching paint dry...
Edson Barbosa and Pettis are the two I really enjoy seeing at the moment I do like seeing the big guys go at it so Mir and bigfoot should be pretty explosive even though both are past there sell by date |

I'm confused as to why you'd skip three potentially great fights and focus on Bader vs Cormier which will probably be horrible! As for Frank Mir, well he's lost four straight fights now and I think he'll lose to Bigfoot and we'll see him retire after the fight. |

I can see Mir being kept around for the moment, if only because Lesnar's WWE contract is up on March 31st and if he was willing to comeback Lesnar v Mir III would probably do a better buyrate than many of UFC's current pay per views.
Maybe, but I don't think a UFC fighter ever lost five straight and kept their position. I think Mir would retire and get a role as a colour commentator in the UFC because he is very good at it. Even a huge name like Tito Ortiz would have been let go if he hadn't beaten Ryan Bader because before that he'd lost four fights and drew one. |

Wow, that is a stacked card!
All of them have something going for them as individual fights, so I look forward to seeing that event! |

I would not be too sure about that Arlovski is a good boxer
He is, but he's so up and down in his fights. His last fight was good but sometimes he can look terrible and I just think Browne will blitz him, he won't stand there and have a boxing match with Arlovski. |

Arlovski has had a very up and down career - I just have a feeling that his boxing skills will prove too much as long as he avoids the early Brown bombs |
