Bt Broadband Talk Fault??
I have had bt broadband Talk since may and to be honest 90% of the time it doesnt function correctly
From incoming calls not working, outgoing calls failing, total loss of voice link, caller display working when it feels like it, to not hanging up after a call immedietly This i can cope with for the time being as its a relatively new service The thing i wanted to ask about is every so often not at set times or anything the adaptor pstn light lights up and gives a click as if ive picked up the voip phone and pressed 9 to use the normal line it stays liten for upto a minute then clicks back off again ive tried picking up the phone while this is happening and yeah im connected to the normal line (normal dial tone) so i know its not making calls or anything malicious, theres nothing in any of the user guides about this , i should mention it does this whether the loop back to normal line cable is plugged in or not, any ideas why it does this my setup is below Speedtouch 548 4 port ethernet router BT 10v voice adaptor (connected to ethernet port 2 of above router as well as 3 pcs plugged into the others on the back of the 10v ive got 1 ethernet port (Not used) 1 network port (In Use to router) 1 phone1 port (with converter) 1 phone2 port (not used) 1 line port (plugged into filter on same line as skydigital boxes) after the converter i have a cable going to a junction where i have split using my own made plate of six way telephone sockets going to different rooms in the house) so i have a voip socket in each room at the moment i have 3 telephones in use from that aswell as 2 caller display units all phones function as expected) when the 10 v isnt making any calls i have 3 lights liten power probably gave to much info but would like to know why it feels the need to randomly click and show as if the line is in use i cant remember it doing this with the previous firmware but since it was updated to 2.16 its dont it and also if i do use the normal line via the 10v by pressing (userset9) after the call it does hang up but it keeps a hold of that line for a couple of minutes it never done that either before i think its time for new firmware cant get any info on the bttalk site as this 10v is not mentioned anywhere now since bt total broadband came out any help appreciated |
