Eli Dingle - I've only just realised ...

... that he was Jamie Armstrong in Corrie in the mid-90s.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joseph_Gilgun

Penny dropped when another ex-Corrie actor crashed his storyline last night. He looks vastly different (the beard and floppy fringe help) but I knew I recognised the surname from somewhere.

Also looks like he'd be a great fit for the latest band of Merry Men!

He's sexy in a rough trade way.

I'm sure I recognised the two guys who beat up Marlon. Who are they?

Scott Wright was the blonde one who played Sam 'the python' Kingston in Corrie! The other is ????? Milburn, brother of Hollyoaks Matt Milburn, he was in Brookie for a while a few years back I think! Hope that helps!

Those comedy gangsters are plain ridiculous, the Krays of the north. The pub scene was daft. Plastic 'glasses' breaking with a wimpy tinkling sound, Marlon overacting as only he can do, his wife Donna was left weak and sobbing and didn't even call the police she is soon to join. The fish in the glass case put on a better performance IMO.

Can people stop hi-jacking my thread with a topic that's covered in several others please

That was mentioned before he even appeared the first time!

And it's funny, the other day I was sorting out a box I have old things in and that includes all the Corrie magazines from - obviously - when they were being printed. And in one folder, the one on top had Tricia and Jamie on the cover of the September 1994 issue. He really hasn't changed at all apart from obviously to look older and hairier!
