I've got to say, Matt is very sexy as I've said a hundred times, but Carol makes a great partner for him! I thought she looked incredible last night and those legs are just amazing!

I thought she looked amazing too - at least 10 years younger than she actually is and doesn't look like she's had three kids. I was a bit worried about the feather train though - could have done with being a bit shorter as I think she almost trod on it a couple of times.

Voted for them.

I think I was right to be worried (even though I'm really disappointed that Spoony when out) I felt the couples down in 7th place would be at real risk.

Trouble is that no matter how well she dances, I feel she will struggle to get the votes against the early favourites.

I vote based on who I think should stay in the competition (and try and second-guess who will not be getting the vote). Only later on in the competition do I vote solely based on my favourite dance on the night.

My other worry for Carole/Matt is I think their votes will be from "grown-ups" (no obsessive fans/sympathy/enormous improvement/tabloid story). Those wonderful fans of the programme supporting Children-in-Need with enormous phone bills in January

I voted for them 20 times. I used to give money to CiN - now I just figure out how much money I would have given them anyway and split that up over the weeks to figure out how many times I could vote. I didn't vote in the first 2 weeks this year at all so more votes later on.

I think the advantages Carol and Matt have in trying to secure votes is that her personality comes across as really fun and he's rather good looking. With Emma and Louisa being over praised, perhaps people will start to look at those a little lower down the leaderboard who can dance. After all, Darren only got a 19 for his first dance last year...I look at it this way - she's improved by 2 points this week and she's dancing something I think she'll be rather good at next. Hopefully the only way is up.

Ok i agree I have got slightly obsessed with Matt Cutler recently, but it's because I've been a massive fan of his DANCING for the past 7 years and have always supported him and Nicole on the circuit, and to see him with a good partner on the show is making me a bit excited. (I also think he's quite attractive, but although I comment on this it wouldn't be the basis for me voting!)

I'm also a grown-up so I still kind of fit into your theory!I'm voting for this couple based on their dancing and their great chemistry. (It just so happens that I may quite fancy the Cutler a little bit as well )

I agree - I always end up getting distracted on this thread and start talking about Matt's looks!

Random threads are much better..... you can get your point across in all sorts of different ways. Appreciation threads are only really read by the die-hard fans like us and tend to get bogged down in stupid clique-style comments. That p's off the casual visitor and puts them off voting for your favs.

Paper the forums with your opinions - gentle persuasion is a great thing !
