Nokia Picture Phones
Hi , I have been looking at these phones and there is an advert ''the happy birthday one'' where she transfers the picture to a mates Laptop.
Would the picture quality be as any where as good as the advert shows on the laptop as they make it look really crisp or would it look really bad and pixellated? |

You can only send the smaller pics, the phone sees to that

The image quality of the phones is not as good as the ad would have you think im afraid. Just some marketing hype. This will be much more noticeable when the image is transfered to a laptop. A good quality digital camera will do a much bettter job.

Remember they are not there to replace your camera !!!!! On your phone you have a speaker and microphone to recieve and send audio, keypad to input text (and to dial numbers
) the Camera is there to input images. The images are 640x480, and around 25K-40K per image. If you get good light, and do not move the phone when taking picture the quality of some pictures are quite good.

As Ripsaw82 says the image quality is good as long as you hold the phone still & use good light although the night setting captures some good shots. Oh yes & the shutter sound is heard before the camera takes the shot, I stuffed up many pictures when I first got the phone through moving it while it took the shot! |

i take it from this that the nokia is a jpg file format and the sony is another and hence they are not compatible? |
