anyone know how to open an american itunes account???

Unfortunately you will need a credit card with a US billing address.

You may be able to get someone living over there to "lend" you their account (obviously there would have to be a lot of trust in that case).

Or get hold of an american iTunes card (i.e. the stored value cards like you can get at sainsbury's here).
You still need an American address but NO american credit card.
