SonyBMG to stop releasing Music DVDs

It sounds as though you won't be able to get a music DVD of your favourite BMG artist any more. So no Pink DVD, or Shayne Ward, or any other!

Sad if true! |

It is in a reply to an email which someone I know received from Ged Doherty at SonyBMG.

That is highly unfair as there are a lot of people who either do have a PC, or do not have broadband to enable them to watch music videos.
This seems a way of saving them money more than anything else, flaming cheap skates. |

You are so right. I am at a loss as to why they have decided on this route.

*grumbles* Why couldn't they announce that next year and not a month ahead of Christina's concert?

Where has this been announced please. I've not seen it anywhere.

I'm hoping for a DVD of George Michael's tour later in the year. My fingers are still crossed. I believe he's with SBMG isn't he. |

Yes it is a personal reply but the letter implies that there will be no more DVDs issued. It had better be general or else there will be ructions.
I am not sure if GM is with SBMG - wasn't it Sony he had the row with a few years ago when he couldn't release anything for five years? |

Seems odd. Obviously they're not making much money on music dvds.
