Hi there. About 3 weeks ago or so I ordered 2 tickets to see Paul Weller at the Roundhouse in London for 25th October. It's now the 20th and I have still not received my tickets. I went to the tracking page and entered my details and it says they are still waiting for stock to come in.

I'm getting pretty worried now as the concert is on wednesday. Any time I've ordered through ticketmaster the tickets have arrived in plenty time.

Is this normal for the tickets to arrive so late?

Thanks.

Oh, I see that bigmouth.co.uk, seetickets and gigsandtours all use the same tracking system, are they all part of the same company? Are they usually quick at dispatching their tickets?

Still waiting for tix from seetickets for a gig on Monday. They were apparently shipped yesterday, but that is far too late IMO.

Gigsandtours and see are the same group, but I think ticketmaster is different.

If I can now I buy tix direct from the venue (e.g. Roundhouse own website, Shep Bush Empre etc), or try wegottickets or ticketweb.

I dont know wether this late shipment is down to trying to beat touts, but it is very inconsistent, as I already have some december tickets for other bands.

Anyone remember the time when you had to buy 'Sounds' every week to read up on the tours that were announced, then send off for tickets with an SAE and then wait for them to turn up to see if you had made the front row.

Ah, them were the days.

Indeed. Hard to imagine we ever heard new bands in those days without the internet sin't it?

I just called them up to ask if I'd receive the tickets on time, the man says they have just received stock in and should be dispatched for next day delivery.

I agree ark, still not having the tickets at this stage is very late. Far too late - I don't live in anywhere near london (where the show is) and will be travelling down on tuesday night; imagine if the tickets don't come until tuesday when I'm at work?! They require a signature so I would not be able to pick them up from the post office until wednesday (when I'm suppost to be in london).

Lets just hope they arrive tomorrow.

Oh no, thats the news i really didnt want to hear. Ive booked my auntie some tickets for the Scissor Sisters for her boss as a surprise and i keep checking for those tickets to come in stock and that concerts not til November 13th. From what you've said im not expecting to get them until a few days before. Very annoying especially as the official Scissor Sisters website directed me to this website to book.

This is getting to be standard practice now, mainly due to ticket touts, its a way of not giving them enough time to resell the tickets on.

I've booked two tickets for the scissor sisters as a present too - they don't live near by so I was planning on posting them when I get them. But now I'm worried I won't get them sent to myself in time to send them on. I think I'll have to stay clear of this company in future.

I have just checked the status page for my paul weller tickets, now I have the following:

Order status 20/10/2006 - Outstanding faults with order, please call us between 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday, or email us at customerservices@wayahead.com.

Fantastic

I've never had any problems with them,my Springsteen tickets for November 12th came yesterday. In fact I've had more instances ofwithTicketmaster sending out tickets late and really close to the concert date than I have with See.

It sometimes happens. I once received some about two days before the concert happened. Try giving them a ring.

Remember that ticket agencies obviously can't send tickets to you until they themselves receive them from the promoter, and that sending them out close to the event date may be to try to deter Ebay touts by giving them little/no time to post them on.

The paul weller concert is on wednesday and I still haven't got the tickets. As much as it probably will deter touts, it is a really stupid idea to send tickets so late; I don't live near London and was planning on going down a couple of days before the concert to stay with a friend. But because i still don't have the tickets, looks like I'll just have to travel down on wednesday. Luckily I didn't book a hotel!!

Ah I never knew that. Luckily they arrived this morning. Phew. I think I'll use ticketmaster's ticketfast service in future.

Ah, do they not restrict the delivery address to the one assigned to the card used to buy the tickets?
