advice on a new digital cordless phone please!
The last time we bought landline phones we opted for a "bargain" set of 4 handsets and they have given us endless trouble although they have lasted a few years. We have decided to splash out on some new ones tomorrow but only want 2 handsets this time.
Been looking through the Argos book (they are as good as any retailer I suspect) and they have loads of different types. Does anyone know which make I should go for? The ones we have now are ntl, so would rather steer clear of them again. BT or makes like Panasonic seem to have lots of choice. Any definite dos or don'ts? |

I have used Binatone 2 handset and now 4 handsets for ages. I think they give great value for money. I think you end up paying for the name rather than the phone itself. I would also only use digital phones as they give a better range.
Good luck in Argos tomorrow. You must be mad going on a Saturday though LOL |

Thanks.
I had a Binatone phone before and it was ok but I thought they were a bit cheap looking. That was before the digital phones came out though. Our Argos is always quite quiet, even on a Saturday, believe it or not!

We had two BT cordless phones with an answerphone which were always a pain. They packed in a few weeks ago and we went for the Binatone three handset with answerphone for about £40 from Argos, and they've been great. Very easy to use, much better sound quality and nice looking phones.

We paid for the cheaper square type ones and ended up with rather sexy rounded one. Total mistake on their part but we've found them to be fine

I must say they tick most boxes for me. Just PM'ing you |

Stay away from BT. Panasonic are the best.
