Kerry's singing 'I Don't Want To Talk About It'

I think 4Sure are definitely going to be in the bottom two this week. That song done well for JS last year, but then they performed 'Let It Be' on the same night, which was what brought the votes in. It's such a dreary song, and I think they're in trouble.

I love Ben but his choice is a bit too predictable for my liking. He should have kept Sharon's first choice.

Agreed. Something a little different would have done him the world of good. He'll sail through this week though.

I think The McDonald's will be fine too. I expect they'll get a later slot, and if they're going to be giving it a little more 'oomph' than last week, it should be good.

Theme is songs covered or by Rod Stewart

Nikitta - Bring It On Home (Sam Cooke)
Raymond - What A Wonderful World (Louis Armstrong)
Leona - The First Cut Is The Deepest (Cat Stevens or PP Arnold)
Ashley - I'd Rather Be Blind (Etta James or Chicken Shack)

Eton Road - This Old Heart Of Mine (Isley Bros.)
4Sure - You're In My Heart
The MacDonald Brothers - Sailing

Ben - Maggie May
Robert - Try A Little Tenderness (Otis Redding)
Dionne - Tonight's The Night
Kerry -

Definitely more of a Rod covers night

The show's vocal coach has just predicted that Eton Road will be going home tomorrow

If they do this board will be on form - they are heading the favourite poll this week, last week The Unconventionals were

Then Louis will be left with the two most uninspiring bands ever to grace the x factor

Robert with Try a Little Tenderness could really be something - such a powerful, passionate song. Love it - and it reminds me of Pretty in Pink!!

I don't know, I think if he didn't feel right with the song, he was wise to change it. I actually like the fact that he seems to have something to contribute to song choices rather than sit around twiddling his thumbs like Robert did.

I wish they'd been a bit firmer on the songs actually being original Rod Stewart songs, rather than any old cover version he's done - I mean 'It's a wonderful world' and 'Try a little tenderness' are cool songs but aren't exactly associated with Rod Stewart, are they....

Kerry - A boring "safe" choice
MacDonald brothers - Uninspiring
Ray - Cringe worthy?

I'm worried about Eton Road because of the themes! They strike me as very fresh, very modern, something that need songs that are new and inspiring in order to flourish. Instead they're being stuck in suits with dance moves that were dated when Westlife started with them and singing songs that virtually SMELL musty.

As opposed to having the three most uninspiring bands ever to grace the X-Factor
Would be quite amusing if he lost all four groups in the first four weeks

Unless I have been living under a stone...I have no idea what that song of Nikitta's is...? After last week, wouldn't simon have been better choosing something more 'known' for her?

Ashley - sounding ropey but better than last week.

As for Ray - cop out, Simon. No challenege there and a bit 'creative' with it being Rod week.

Wasn't Ben the little strop? Polite with it, but I think they chose the right one for him first. Maggie May is just toooooooo safe and too obvious. A disappointment.

Kerry - Zzzzzzzzzzz.

Leona - I just KNEW she'd get that song. If she stops being all jerky with her limbs, she should do well. Nice girl.

I think 4Sure are for the chop - shame, but I think they'll go. Ray possibly in the bottom 2 also.

I think you could be right. Simon is really being creative with these theme weeks in his choices for Ray though I wouldnt think Rod Stewart straight away for Roberts choice either. I just cant see Ray doing a decent version of Wonderful World though I expect Cowell will be praising his likeability. 4Sure were not great in rehearsal and I presume they are the first of the groups to perform this week. I just hope the backing vocal track doesnt drown them out again.

Such a shame - 4Sure, at least, provide a bit of visual delight.

I did enjoy the view of that chap's legs when he had the witch suit on

I think young Ray will make a pig's ear of the song as well. Ahhhh well....

What's worrying though, is the talk of bringing out the other 3 singers more. The reality is that Anthony has it all. He needs, IMO, to be the front man.

I am impressed with the fact Simon seems to be picking far less well known and less 'safe' songs for his acts.

These shows could easily become karaoke with the themes so I think it's important not to pick the obvious songs.

I think Anthony is good enough to be a solo singer. I suppose the only thing that would count against him is his lack of confidence. He seems to actually need the other guys.

Great voice though - and startling good looks.

If so, Ben will be on for major criticism tonight. He deserves that, IMO.

what would have bene inetresting would have been to have Ray or ashley try Maggie May in an unusual style. Old song - new style. It might have worked.

However, you never know, Ben may do something original, although I doubt it. Shame. I'm going off him, I must admit. He was my fav to begin with.

But Ray will flash that cheeky grin of his and the text votes will come flooding in as Cowell calls Louis an ignorant vile man for perhaps criticising the strength of Rays vocals and will then turn this criticism onto Louis and his own acts who he will accuse of being karaoke and the viewers will then forget just how bad Ray actually was and remember that Louis is such a nasty man.

I so agree that Anthony needs the other guys. I do think, at this stage, being part of a group works for him. It's just that he is such a shiner, that there doesn't seem much point bringing out the others when he's there.
