Pete Burns' Cosmetic Surgery Nightmares - ITV1 Thursday 28th October 9pm

Quote:
Pete Burns reveals the shocking story behind his own cosmetic surgery nightmares and talks to women that have had to have emergency operations and ongoing treatment after their surgery went wrong. Pete also visits surgeon to the stars, Alex Karidis, to get some advice about finding the best cosmetic surgeon and to explore how painful many of these procedures are.
Sounds... interesting... I guess

Thanks for the info.

Why on earth is he seeking advice about the best cosmetic surgeon? Does he still need revisions for his botched jobs?

I watched a summary of Pete Burns on the recent C5 (I think, or ITV1), and I find it really hard to fel sympathetic for his ordeal, or indeed anyone that undergoes such cosmetic surgery and agree with the numerous speciallist on the show that such people were probably more in need of counselling, as opposed to surgery.

Although I will add, that the butchers that messed up people like Pete Burns should be held accountable, as it seems they never are... after all the patients did pay for an agreed service.

Regards

Most of the time, they also have to sign an agreement whereby they cannot sue if things don't go to plan.

My goodness not a show for the faint hearted. I'm intrigued, but not sure if I have the courage! I remember it was alleged that Pete's lips are made from the discarded skin of circumcisions, and they didn't take etc......

Pete should ask fellow BB contestant Lisa (Jeynes) which surgeon she used. She looks amazing!

Its a shame he cant have surgery on his
voice box, he is nothing but a foul mouthed self opinionated has been. In my opinion.
Another way to make money sell his stupid antics
to TV.

I wonder if that's why his bf left him... when he found that out and realised what he'd been kissing all that time.

It's on TONIGHT- 2 NOVEMBER @ 9PM

Don't forget to tune in tonight

Here's a "taster" for those interested. What happened to him sounds horrid

Quote:
"NEVER trust a surgeon," warns Pete Burns as the Celebrity Big Brother star gamely offers himself up as a cautionary tale for anyone considering going under the knife.

His own horror story began in 2003 after years of lip-enlargement injections. He developed granulomas - benign but really quite disgusting tumours and the photos are here in all their gruesome glory. The general medical consensus was that old big mouth would have to have his lips amputated.

But, after more than 100 operations (during which his trap healed shut almost completely), he was back to his old gobby self.

Not for the faint hearted. Describing his own terrible disaster with his lips, he still has tumours in them. I thought I was doing okay but lost my nerve when he said he "touched his face and heard a hissing noise." Part 2 features other cosmetic story disasters.

Even the advert for it makes it sound disgusting!

He talks about how all the stuff from his lips exploded onto the mirror!

Missed the first part but I watched the second part. What the women went through just to make herself look young. All the pain and the state of her face after the operation.
No way would I ever think of doing plastic surgery. I would sooner grow old gracefully.

Well, I watched this programme tonight and really enjoyed it. I thought that Pete Burns made a very good presenter - and I'm someone who really did not like the guy after seeing him on CBB.

Hearing him relate his own story - and experiences with cosmetic surgery - was interesting. I hadn't realised what a nightmare he went through.

Good programme. Glad I watched it. I've never understood why people go in for cosmetic surgery - and this has helped to educate me a bit.
