Does anyone else think this?

Louis seems to just knock the personality out of whatever acts he picks for the live shows. He did it last time round. Shayne only came into his own when Simon and Sharon picked 'cry me a river' for him (louis was against him doing it).
This year, he's picked acts that he felt had an edge and has tried to mould them all into bland clones. 4Sure have lost their soul and turned into the black Westlife. Eton Road have become the Scouse Westlife and The Unconventionals turned from something unique into a ghastly cabert act under Louis and his team.

Why the hell doesn't he let his acts do what they do best?

agreed - he seems to have a formula that worked in the 90's and wants to stick with it, even though time's moved on the only ones who stand a hope in hell are Eton Rd, simply because Anthony's looks and voice are remarkable, even though he's been waterd down style/image-wise

Agreed. I noticed 4Sure were actually sitting on stools for their sound check last night.

Although I think there is something in what you say, the fact that they are working to themes every week (I believe) pretty much rules out the possibility of letting the acts do what they do best.
