Who do you prefer - Emma and Darren or Claire and Brendan?

Brendan and Claire have only done one dance so far and I thought the rumba was meant to be passionate. Lets wait and see if they carry this theme over to the coming weeks' performances including the ballroom dances - that is, as long as they are still in the competition. They haven't actually said anything themselves other than they can work well together. All else is played up by the BBC and the press (and Craig who seems to have liked their dance!) to increase interest and gain viewers.

I didn't see series 1 so I have never seen Brendan at his best on SCD. His partnership with Sarah was a wasted opportunity. He could be wasting an opportunity with Claire if he is relying on tricks and 'bad boy/girl' labels to get him through the competition.

I really like both couples, and should they get to the final I would be hard pushed as to who to vote for.I love Brendans passion for dance and I love the nice Gentleman factor that Darren seem to have. I have never been that keen on Claire since her Emmerdale days, but they do seem to be well suited, so I will keep on voting for both couples.

Emma and Darren because
1. They danc actuallystick to the rules, unlike Claire and Brendan.
2. I think she has more talent than Claire does...
3. Darren is... Gorgeous!

Has to be Claire and Brendan.

Claire and Brendan did have a lot of chemistry tonight. I liked it. If she can work on her dance ability they will be one of the best ones in there because not all of them will have that chemistry and it's hard to fake.

Brendan and Claire have more about them, there training is entertaining to watch, and their routines are exciting. Emma and Darren are very good but just dont do anything for me on the entertainment front.

Emma is certainly the better dancer, but Claire gives it the sparkle!

Without question Emma and Darren, they are both such lovely, naturally warm personalities. Personally, I think that everything Brendan and Claire do is completely forced.

Brendan and Claire for their chemistry and personality, although Claire is definitely not as good as Emma.

I think Emma might be terrible at the rumba.

Neither really. Emma and Darren haven't really interested me that much - although their quickstep was fantastic I just can't warm to them. I think that's probably about her as I've always loved Darren in the past. They just bore me and she seems a bit whiny. However Brendan and Claire are worse. Her rhumba looked dreadful (arms especially), she's just walking around the floor trying to look sexy and ending up looking tarty. I think Brendan is a fabulous dancer but the lifts did nothing to endear him to me. Bottom line - I'm not a fan of either but I'd pick Darren and Emma based on dancing ability.

Emma and Darren. I don't like Brendon Cole very much and that Claire comes across as a bit self-absorbed.

Actually I did prefer Claire and Brendan, BUT even after three weeks, they are starting to annoy me, though I suspect it is Brendan more than anything, he is a bit too cocksure for my taste.

I still prefer Emma and Darren and they are better technically; this is mainly because Claire isn't as good as she thinks she is!

Brendan and Claire have got more of a sparky attitude and so they will probably continue to get voted in.

I agree - Brendan's comment last night on ITT was revealing, "if the judges give us rubbish marks then we have to do something to stand out and get the public on our side" (not a direct quote, but that was basically the sense of it).

To me, that misses the point: the point should be to dance well to get both the public AND the judges on your side. Breaking the rules and doing tricks doesn't hold a candle to actually being able to dance well.

No kidding, he's an incredible dancer, but his attitude irritates me and I don't think Claire is that good - what I saw of her jive was not great.

They're very different. I think so far Emma and Darren have been better, but I don't think Claire's at all bad and I suspect Brendan's risque choreography may be doing her more harm than good. If Brendan sticks to the rules, stops showboating and comes up with some choreography that suits Claire's abilities, I think she's a flamboyant enough performer to deliver it well. People speak very highly of Karen and Mark, but I think their strength is in Karen's brilliant showcasing of Mark's fairly average skills. If Brendan focused on Claire more and himself less, I think the two of them could give Baby Spice and the rest a run for their money.

Neither couple make me want to vote for them, but it's early days yet.

Claire & Brendan by a long long way. Their personalities shine through and they seem to have a laugh and get on really well. While I'm sure Emma and Darren are great peopleand good dancers, they just don't inspire me!

I can see Brendan and Claire possibly getting on my nerves but they have a real sexual chemistry that is lacking in almost all the other couples - and it makes them compelling to watch.

Darren and Emma seem very lovely people but as a couple I'm not fussed about them compared to others.

So if I could only watch 1 couple of these two it would be C & B without doubt.

I absolutely agree. Like Arlene goes on about (maybe too much!) there is something DIIIIIIIIRTY about watching Claire and Brendan. Though haven't decided whether this is actually a *good thing* yet!!!!

Emma and Darren all the way. I think Claire is far to bigheaded myself, and her and Brendan are as bad as each other.
Emma is a far better dancer
