No offence, but after one live show, I think it's perhaps a bit hard to judge.

Hmmmm. I know what you mean, but I have decided to forgive last weeks noives and see how they do from now on.

In fact, I find it a very interesting group in comparision with the last two years.

No 'clear' winner from that start. I.e. Shayne - blehhhhh. Yekk.

The song choices are not too good for this week. Maybe innocent_fairy is right it is too early.

It is going to be very long hard slog through the live shows as there is very little talent in depth this year. It is going to be a matter of getting rid of the 'worst of the bunch' each week until we get to last 4. Definitely a case of watch SCD & catch up with X-Factor later so that I can fast forward if need be.

No it's a fair point. The trouble is they always push a format to its extreme. I adore the Xfactor and have great expectations of each show. The early auditions are usually very watchable, a mixture of the elations and disasters, seeing their hopes and determination - which SHOULD be a positive thing. This year though we were saturated throughout the entire show with so much "painful journey" music....we thought we were watching Children in Need! SO then last week, excited and ready for the live performances, but the sound absolutely drowned them all out. I really really really love it and want badly for them to get it back to the way it used to be. Hope they have it sorted this week.

Yes - somehow it seems to have lost its sparkle - kills me to say it I have to say - but I will watch it all no doubt about that!

If this continues, I think getting a Christmas No. 1 might actually be a bit of a struggle this year. Atleast Shayne had a target market whilst everyone else...doesn't really.
