I'll start off out of the lot of them I would pick The Bill because it is easy to watch and understand, its only on twice a week and the characters are realistic!!

I'd pick The Bill of that list, but I only watch it and Casualty, so take my opinion for it's worth!

It's Hollyoaks for me at the moment. The new producer has taken it in a completely new direction and it's at its best.
Although I have recently started watching Coronation Street and I think it's rather good. Emmerdale has been going steadily downhill since September |

Dangerous thread as they nearly always end in arguments!
I only watch Corrie & EE and I have no preference between them but at the moment I'd say Corrie is better. |

As I rarely watch Coronation Street, EastEnders and Neighbours these days, it has to be The Bill.
I think The Bill has better characters, better actors and generally a better pace than the other soaps/dramas. |

At the moment its Home and Away but I like them all. But the bigger soaps are always spoiled cos the newspapers always tell you whats hoing to happen weeks in advance.

Home and Away and Hollyoaks.
Home & Away have got a really good story line at the moment. Hollyoaks is good, but the Amy pregnancy story is getting repetitive now, when is she going to tell her parents?? Its getting annoying now. Or have I just missed an episode and shes already told them? Not sure... |

IMO Neighbours, the whole show is based round the concept of escapism and doesn't take itself too seriously. They also show a mixture of generations involved in storylines i.e. Bree gets hers and Lou gets his, so it's a well balanced soap.

Neighbours is my favourite soap because it knows what it is good at and is brilliant at doing it (unlike Home and Away which thinks it is Dynasty). It has a great mix of characters too, it is the only soap where I feel I physically care about the characters. The best of the 'proper' soaps is undoubtedly Coronation Street. Emmerdale is also good.
