Depend which phone has the best design and esyness to use. I have to say...i prefer SE's easy to use and buttons are easy to press. You also get free memory cards (but not wit K800i as it has a 'large' memory in it - 64MB) and the programmes on the phones are really good...plus you get a PC suite for it. Nokias are ok but they have got HUGE over the last year. Someone i know has the N72...i think it is massive and ugly!
Check out this site to compare both phones side by side. http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3...&idPhone1=1485
Myself i like the K800i. N73 is big, bulky and heavier (but only by 1 gram!)
Write back with which one you have chosen:P

Go for the Sony over the Nokia. Much nicer. Smaller and from my personal experience, more reliable than Nokias.

Ive had a Sony Ericsson for the two year, and it was a great phone, though the the little joystick on it did become unresponsive due to age. I always thought that Nokias were over rated, and people just got them because they were the in phones to have. Last week i decided to upgrade, and i was going to get the K800i, I then saw the Nokia N73, and really wasnt sure. I read the reviews on the net and they all put the K800i slightly ahead, and stated that the N73 had a slight lag in loading programmes.

Two co-workers that i sat next to at work, one had an K800i, and the other had an N73. They were actually of the opposite opinion that the K800i was actually quite slow in loading programmes compared to the N73. This really confussed me more.

In the end i went for the N73 due to the slightly bigger screen, and i really cant fault it. The slightly larger screen is really useful when taking pictures, and the camera is excellent. The only thing that is a downer, is that the standard memory is a bit on the low side.

I had the k800i and sent it back straight away in favour of the Nokia N73.

The N73 is much better in terms of camera and features IMO. Its not that bulky either and the screen is much better than the k800i.

Also a 512mb mini sd memory card only cost about a tenner.

Will the K800i run TomTom5 mobile?

Does the N73 have the same awful chargers as the 6280 / 6111 that break after about 2 months?!?!

Cheers

1. No, the K800i will not run TomTom5 as it is not a 'smart phone'.

2. No idea.

Cheers

the n73's are massively buggy though... i wanted on to ise on orange and they have been withdrawn along with the n80, n91 etc... the only n they now do is the n70 which is crap!

i am quite happy with my k800i although i wish it was symbian and the battery sucks.

For a camera phone you can't beat the K800i as it is more camera than phone. As it has a proper flash, image stabilizer and cybershot.

Had one since they first came out and would have another.

I wanted one of these from orange, but both are out of stock at the moment, and I don't really like the N70, which is in stock. Is the D900 any good? Thats available.

Orange brand the arse off their phones so maybe its to do with their horrid branded firmware doesnt work well with it as its fine on any other network its on.

I have a n73 on 3 and its not buggy at all. In fact its muuuuuch better than the k800i by a country mile.

k800i is much slower as well i found.

ah but the n73 takes better pics.

n73 also has image stabilizer, red eye reduction, exposure compenation, auto focus, optical zoom as well as digital zoom, carl zeiss optics, white balance and ISO settings. Only drawback is the LED flash.

k800i is better on video though i believe.

K800i's video is dire, its the same quality as the k750i.

The K800i's video capture and playback is blocky and the kind of thing you'd expect from a 2005 phone. Go for the n73 if you want a phone with a superior video capture.

N73 is available on Orange again, but you may have to go to one of their shops to get it. It also seems to be working well too. Hope that helps.

Hi Sparkie,

It is definately available on Orange (I purchased one just 5 days ago). I can't comment about it's availability on 3 however.

lol sorry for any mis-understandings, i meant 3 orange shops. im gonna ring round my local ones again tomorrow,

although i upgraded a month ago, my price should be around the £150 mark which is cheaper than buying it sim free. and im sure i can sell my k800i for around that figure!

i'd be interested to know of anyone who got one in hertfordshire recently? d-j-s have you had any probs with yours?
