Louisa's jive

I think they've put too much pressure on Louisa now... Its obvious that at least Craig is gonna be very biased towards Emma... And when Bruno jumped up with a 9 he put himself in a corner... Emma's jive was nothing to write home about... But Louisa's was, ok it weren't perfect but it was VERY good for such little training... Now she's gonna have to live up to that week in and week out...

Excellent routine, Louisa had the right leg action, good flicks and looked like she really enjoyed the experience. I thought she looked far more comfortable on the floor this week and as a result, her shoulders were much better. It was by far the best Jive of the night.

Having said that it wasn't a 10 and if it hadn't been for Bruno getting all excitable over Emma, he wouldn't have marked it that way. Yes Emma fluffed a step but so did Louisa and I thought there were a few parts where she completed a step slightly too quickly.

In my opinion he over marked Emma. Louisa's Jive was worth a 9 but having already given that to Emma there was no way he could mark Louisa's Jive as being better any other way than by giving her a 10.

None of the routines were worth a 10. Emma deserved an 8, then Louisa should have been given the 9.

Agree with you all but lets blame Bruno not Louisa or Emma!

Absolutely!! The idiocyncrasies of the judges are not Emma and Louisa's fault.

I don't watch SCD often, i am a huge x factor fan. I turned over at one of the breaks of X Factor and saw Louisa dancing and she was amazing

Jill Halfpenny's dance is the one which others must be measured against. Some last night were good, but nowhere near Jill, irrespective of how much tarining and practice they have had.

The judges seem to be marking up this year - especially Craig. Pity.

They may not have had much time to train together...that doesn't stop her training and learning the basic movements and steps though...

I agree it was the best jive of the night , not worth a 10, as had been said previously. It was better than Emma's so thus had to be marked as such. Not sure whether the GBP would realise this though

I loved louisa's jive and thought it deserved high marks , but know you've reminded me of Jill's I can see where people are coming from when they say ten was too high a mark for Louisa .

But as others have said , I guess Bruno had to mark her that way because of the previous vote for Emma.

Louisa did everything right, but I think the reason she scored so well is because she put so much of herself into it. She never stopped moving, and there were moves within moves, that she executed with vigour and control. And also, she seemed to be enjoying it, which also makes it better to watch. Last week, I could feel her nervousness. This week, she was a little more confident, and she was genuinely surprised and appreciative of the good marks she got. I must say, I find Louisa strangely attractive, and I'm female. (A bi female)

Absolutely.....Emma's & Louisa's jives are nowhere near as good as Jill Halfpenny's!! In fact no one from the other series either had even come close to the standard of Jill's performance..... best jive I've ever seen from a non-professional.

That's true - but surely they can't mark them against a dance from 2 series ago, they can only mark them against what they see on the night from the other contestants in 'their' year.

I'm very wary about the overuse of the high marks, to be honest. I see nothing wrong with marking people with the 'forgotten scores' of 3,4, 5 & 6 providing they are consistent. By marking so high so early, they are backing themselves into a marking corner and leaving themselves no where to go. I know that I've heard Len say that 10 is not always used for perfection but for the best dance on the night. I find that wrong - I can't help it! - to me a 10 is perfection and nothing so far this year has been a 10.

If that is the case, why can't the judges not score until they have seen everyone dance, and then just put them in order of ranking?

Totally agree. Jill's jive was far superior and still easily the best dance seen on SCD. Louisa was good but didn't think it deserved more than an 8. Having said that, perhapsthe judgeshad to mark higher as they had alredy grossly overmarked Emma, and Louisa's was better than hers.

Great jive, but didn't deserve a 10. She raced through some of the steps, instead of finishing them properly.

It deserved a 10 but only because it was better than Emma's which got a 9.
The actual dance was by far not perfect - there were a few little mistakes here and there (well not mistakes and such, but...)

Aileen & Bruno obviously got carried away with this undeservedly high marks both for Emma & Louisa.

Craig by far is the fairest judge of them all, like him or not at least his scorings are not emotionally based compared to hyper A & B.....again

Was also going to add that although he favours Emma so far...he's not biased enough to say that Louisa is a strong competition for her plus he marked Emma accordingly ie 8 which I also think is just right.
