Some of the outfits are lovely- often the ballroom dresses.But what are the designers doing to these lovely women?And some of the men?

Lilia looked as if a pair of old black tights had caught on a sequin as she left the dressing room......Georgina's half a frock looked dreadful...Jan & Anton...Carol's chicken tail....costume disasters.

Let's hope Carol gets a lovely outfit for the foxtrot.

She's a stunning looking woman and so far the costumes have done her no favours...... the quickstep dress was really bland and last night's effort, whilst showing off her stunning legs, made her look a bit like Sesame Street's Big Bird

The ballroom dresses are usually OK, but some of the Latin outfits look like they have been cobbled together using the remains from the cutting room floor. What was Georgina *not*wearing last night?!

I really didn't get them putting Ray in a suit, rather then a tux - the suit made him look like a well dressed insurance salesman who'd just wandered in off the street. Georgina's jive dress (although it barely qualified to be called a dress) was awful, and Carol's dress, loved the idea of it - just didn't think it worked that well.

I thought Claire look as though she was wearing some sort of Judy Finnigan tribute dress (remember Judy & the bra revealing incident?) & Georgina might have benefitted if we could have seen less of her - although maybe they thought lack of a dress would distract from the dancing.
Secondly what about poor old Tess Daley - last weeks dress was only moderately hideous but last night and the first week yeuch!

who chooses the dresses?do the celebs get any say?

I think the wardrobe department, the professionals and the celebrities choose a dress together. I seem to remember something on that on last year's It Takes Two.

As for Flavia's dress in the group foxtrot... O M G I WANT IT NOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!! so so so beautiful.

I agree the Judy Finnegan look did nothing for Claire.
I think it's a tribute to t he stunning looks of the women that they overcome the ghastly outfits.

I thought Tess looked really good! Because of her build she could look quite big (she is in fact very slim) but last night she looked really pretty and shapely!

I certainly don't think either Tess' first week dress or this week's have been as good as last year's designs.

I liked Carol's last night, thought Claire's was way OTT, loved Louisa's, Ola's and Erin's. Georgina's looked tight, but I though suited her. Jan and Anton's were a bit red but I forgive them.
