Hasn't Pauline had her own special? I seem to recall they devoted a weeks Episodes to her trip to Ireland to visit her Step Sister? I think and they too relived childhood memories. ”

That wasn't a special as such, they were actual epsiode of EE, they were just set in Ireland rather than the square, last nights, and the Ricky & Bianca ep last year are considered "specials" rather then actual epsiodes. Ideed, there are many differences between the specials and the main eps, one of them the use of the dreaded filmic effect, as well as the fact of all the flashbacks/background music that isn't there is the usual shows as well as the fact that the specials don't use an actual title sequence.

Just thought of something - when Dot ran away from the Welsh farm, why didn't the woman make any effort to find her? Didn't she report her disappearance to the police? How old WAS Dot at that point? I know the woman thought Dot had deserted her, but surely she was just a child? Didn't she want to check she was okay, especially as she took nothing with her? ”

Yeah - Like why not look at the train station.....A tiny village in the middle of nowhere and no one thinks to ask at the station??? - Maybe ask someone who's been at the station...say like that warden who found her....It wouldn't tkae much in a tiny place like that to put two and two together would it....

My opinion on the show - Laughable - An attempt at a tear jerking tale ruined by everyone involved and a dreadful paper thin plot. Of course June Brown plays Dot well..she is Dot....June brown doesn't have to put any effort into it does she. Oooh-Errr!

I thought it was quite good, made a change from the normal EastEnders, which seems to be fast running out of storylines, like Corrie has done!

It was quite sad and depressing, but good acting by all
