I have recently discovered this fantastic artist!
I adore "The White Hair" and "Lady of the Sea", so I was wondering does anybody have his album, 'Freedom Fields' (Im going shopping tomorrow, want it then!), and if so, is it as good as his recent singles, or is it a dissapointment, with those two sogns being the only good ones. (I can't really see the latter happening, but you never know )
Thanks

I think i saw his cd in HMV for free? ALong with that bloke from Busted, seemed a bit strange, but they had loads of single cds for free?!

When I was in Hull last week there were a few CDs that they were giving away for free (although you had to have some kind of voucher). They were specially done HMV cds and it wouldn't have been any kind of full album. Presumably just a few B sides and album tracks or something.

Bit bland I reckon- male solo version of The Corrs.

'The White Hare' is a nice enough song though.

Try Liam Frost or James Yorkston, similar genre but a bit more grit.

I'll be buying his album this evening. I'll let you know what I think.

By the way Hayden, are you one of those people who thinks "melodic", "clear" and "in tune" + "bland"?

They didn't have his album "Freedom Fields" in Asda today, even though it is on their website
I'm going to look in HMV tomorrow.

go for his previous album if you can find it - it's superb.

must register my disagreement with the 'male solo Corrs' comment - definitely not true lol

He impressed live on last year's Mercurys, I thought.

PS Hayden, you ever thought about having your ears syringed, mate?

I agree with your last sentence. Nothing like the Corrs whatsoever!

Why dont you buy it from HMV online , it's only £9 including P&P .

So anyone got an opinion on Seth , which is the better record the first one Kitty Jay or the second one.

I've not heard Kitty Jay, but will probably get it soon.
Got his new album ("Freedom Fields") from HMV in town, for £7.95! Bargain!
I particularly like how each track is based around a myth/legend. What's the basis for Kitty Jay?
I must also agree...he's nothing like a male version of The Corrs. (Anyway, there was a man in that band too ).
Is Seth touring soon?

Have a look at his myspace page. I found it by accident yesterday and he's doing free gigs and record signings in music stores around the UK. Tomorrow he's in Spillers records in Cardiff. I'm hoping I can get down there.
