Put Your Hands Up For Detroit.. or Something Kinda Oooh Number 1?
Part Time Dave
23-10-2006
Who's going to knock MCR off the number one spot? Best chart battle for ages, two great pop songs!! As in my previous post, think the Girls Aloud vid could've been better, though they were great on Ant & Dec's show a while ago.

My hunch, walking through Woolies today, is that the Girls are going to be disappointed.. Put Your Hands Up For Detroit was number 1 on the shelf, and Woolies are good at getting this right. Its also a massive track in the clubs, and has been all summer, you just can't help but dance to it. And its got a cracking video

What do you think?

Both songs aren't anything special, especially the Fedde le Grande 'PYHUFD'.. it's just a repetitive house track with no musical substance..reminds me of 'Flat Beat' by Mr Oizo.Ideal #1 material then !

simple it might be, but Put Your Hands Up For Detroit is so blumming infectious. Shame the robots in the video weren't Cheryl Tweedy & Co though - phoar!

It's got to be Fedde Le Grande. DJs will buy it, girls will buy it, boys will buy it- it's gonna cane Girls aloud. I wouldn't be surprised if it sold twice as much!

Something kinda oooh! Yeah, G/A are awful spawned pop pap, but their songs are fun

My hunch is its going to be Fedde Le Grand.

Have you seen Mondo Is A Raver? He's started a dance craze all of his own to this track, and filmed it - bless him, his poor Mum

If GA's recent chart entries are anything to go by, they'll just about scrape into the top five.

FLG's overrated video/tune (don't think the video's particularly saucy) will be number one because Ministry of Sound will have timed the release right for those who want to buy it to send it to number one (much like MCR's record company and WTTBP).

Mcfly will sell more than these two combined this week.

They are already top 5 on downloads alone.

Mcfly are #1 in the midweeks, GA are #2 and Fedde #3.

1. McFly (by quite a bit)
2. Girls Aloud (stalling somewhat)
3. Fedde Le Grand (closing in on both)

Oh how exciting!
