am all for free-speech, but what's the sense in dissing Claudia in a thread which is pleaing forher help (for want of a better word) to persuade the merits of training footage etc to the "powers-that-beeb" ?

*scratching head*

I don't think saying 'JLC was better' (which I disagree with anyway, IMHO Claudia is hysterical, great value and controls sometimes-wayward interviewees admirably) will help our case, eh?

Claudia is a great presenter, I've always liked her. I'd like them to show more training footage too and no more cringeworthy guests like Meatloaf. I've never quite "got" him.

I think Claudia is excellent- I'd like to see her present 'Strictly' itself-I'm a bit tired of the 'jokes' from Bruce.

I agree with everyone who's said that they want more training footage and less bands plugging their latest stuff.

Also for the record, I loved JLC but I think Claudia is better, she's just so funny and quirky

Inferior doesn't mean she is dreadful - just that she isn't as good as JLC, which she isn't. Again, like the lack of training footage and the c-list celebs plugging their wares, these things aren't claudia's fault but the producers!!

I really think that we should be careful with what we say in this thread especially as we know that it's being read by the person that you are talking about. Also, as she is such a supporter of this forum and have included us in the programme, we wouldn't want to needlessly offend. I like the programme when the other guy was doing it. Thought that it was a bit surreal but Claudia is different and we get a different programme naturally. There are things that I would like included in the programme but that is an editorial matter and nothing to do with the presenter.

My suggestion would be that instead of some pointless boy band or C list celeb plugging their latest musical offering - on a Friday evening to play us out why not show the footage of past performances by the finalists, eg Jill's Jive, Zoe's Tango, Darren's quickstep etc etc.

Perhaps on a Thursday they could have a viewer phone in vote of which clip is shown at the end of the Friday show, thus raising more money for Children in Need.

I too echo that much more training footage is needed, we love to see how the dancers progress during the week.

Claudia is a fabulous presenter, her style is great. She can cope brilliantly when she has difficult guests!!!

More training footage please please and to be honest the guests on the main show haven't been the best either.

I think Claudia is fab, one of the most natural friendly presenters on our telly.

I love her quirky style, maybe thats why the beeb tuck her away on the spin off shows and not the main programme, her non standard blonde smiley gushing presenter style is too quirky for them

for me Claudia is so naturally funny, quick witted and genuinely emotionally involved with the guests that she just draws the viewer into that circle as well.

I really like Claudia and think she does a great job presenting ITT she is witty and funny and it wouldnt be the same now without her!

I agree with everyone that we would like to see more training footage and less bands etc.

I think she handles all the pros and celebs really well, and her dancing with Len just cracks me up.

If I could add my penny's worth:

A later slot or a repeat show (not too late). I rarely get to see It Takes Two because it's on too early.

More professional dancers, more training footage and more balanced coverage of the stars.

Like BBLB, the evicted couple should be given a week long role in It Takes Two, some sort of roving interview/crashing into training, or a interactive/competition role?

Agreeing with most others, less slebs plugging themselves.

And for the record, I thought JLC was great and I think Claudia is great. She was very sweet when we went to the studio last year for the recording of the final show.

I broke a nail typing this post. See how I suffer for SCD...

seconded, thirded or even seven hundred and fifty fifthed.

One heck of a lot less or even none of the 'I've got a new book/dvd/tour/cd/film/new series to flog, so I love SCD this week and next week I will be mostly loving XFactor' type guests.

Doesn't Louis Walsh manage Westlife? Why on earth does he send them to SCD, why not have them on the X-factor?

Yes!! This is a genius idea! Didn't they used to have something similar, where you could vote for a clip & it got shown? BRING IT BACK AND DITCH THE RUBBISH POP PLUGS !!!!

I like Claudia..... I really do..... but given the amount of begging that's been going on in this thread and the ITT one - does anyone think she's actually listening ???

Sure the ultimate decision is the BBC's but you'd think she could at least mention the loads of comments these threads are getting about the format of ITT

I still haven't seen that ITT yet, but I imagine Mark's reaction was very funny.

I'm dying to get my hands on last week's ITT's now... they've been recorded for me. I have a feeling though that Thursday's was on my bro's DVD recorder & I don't know where the disc is or if it'll play on my DVD player *cries*
