See my other thread.
Cameras are the ONE thing they never mention on ITT

I feel the need to resurrect this thread! The camera work completely spoiled my enjoyment of the two group dances this evening
I hated the way they kept zooming right out so you couldn't make anyone out, and the bizarre aerial shots, not to mention my old favourite the swirly camera guy...

Why, when they have national and world champions on the floor, do they think they need to liven things up?

Totally agree. When Flavia/Vincent and Lilia/Darren were dancing, why couldn't the camera stay on all 4 at the same time? It kept zooming in and out and we missed half the dance.

BBC Camera men, please watch Dancing with the Stars to see how to do it properly.

Dreadful camerawork on the Results Show group dance also meant they miss cued Alesha, Kelly and Letita solos. Awful

It always annoyed me last series - and it happened again tonight - when Mark & Karen do their "Hot Hot Hot" routine, the director always cuts JUST as they do that bit where she falls and he looks as if he catches her by her neck. Right on the move! AAARRRRGHHHH! Don't cut JUST as it's happening. Let us see it happen for ourselves all on the same shot please! It would have much more impact.

(hehehe... I'm actually amazed that I'm quite so annoyed about this!)

So here we go again.
It started quite well yesterday and I thought they'd come to their senses but the moment a Latin dance starts- away they go.....Swirlycam!
In the group dance we didnt see Stephanie Beacham at all though the names were on the screen.

In contrast I watched the 1960s Romeo & Juliet with Nureyev and Fonteyn.Absolutely wonderful and you could see all the dancers from head to toe.

Presumably the dances are choreographed to be seen from the front - so what are we doing on a carousel round the back like a bit of left luggage at the airport?

The 2 progs so far have left me feeling uncomfortable- where has the fun gone?

Someone sugeested that the USA version of SCD was better filmed.
I managed to see it today - and they are right -.The camerawork shows much more respect for the work put in by the dancers.
