I'm sick of all the Emma / Lousia crap !

I'm fed up with the Anton / Brendan fanclubs !

What about the tussle for votes between the lesser-ranked couples such as Carol & Matthew, Peter & Erin and Ray & Camilla...... who should win there, then ???

I love Erin, but I'm really behind Carol and Matthew...he's lovely and a fantastic dancer and she's got a brilliant attitude and great potential...most importantly for me, together they have such great, genuine chemistry!

Darren was in that grey area and he won. I really think this series is still wide open at the moment.

Carol & Matthew- I haven't really warmed to them yet... They look good and I'm happy to be seeing more of Matthew...
Matt & Lilia- I like them, but I can't say I like Matt's dancing...
Peter & Erin- I hope they make the final... They are going really well...
Ray & Camilla- I am really enjoying watching them.... They are brilliant I really want to see Ray improve week after week...

At the moment I think the ones in the grey area are the ones that aren't using some silly gimmicks and so on... I think they will become more talked about in the coming weeks but because they are just steadly getting on with it people can only talk about what they see...

The lack of posts on this thread so far proves my theory....... the reason Spoony went out (and the reason some of these couples will be out all too soon as well) is the fact that the die-hard fans of other pro dancers (not so much the celebs) vote in their droves.

It's also because there's not enough "hype" about them - the fact that they're knuckling down and getting on with it seems to be boring for FMs......instead, they should be full of admiration for them.

They all show great potential and need more recognition for their efforts so far.

I love Peter and Erin - she's such a great choreographer! I think Ray and Camilla are really good, too, and am surprised they're not more popular. Carol's doing well, too. The standard is so high, though, I guess the conversation on the forums gravitates to the controversial ones who have scored particularly high with the judges - or have stayed in despite poor performances. For what it's worth, I'm behind Peter and Erin for now!

Matt & Lilia especially, have hardly been seen at all on It Takes Two. They were on the show once, last week, but other than that we don't even see them in the clips of the rehearsals they show - or at least we see them rarely.

Sorry but I think there was loads of hype around Ola! All the Sunday papers were commenting on her she was a hot topic on ITT her stunning figure had become her gimmick which may have helped in her downfall.

If people voted neutrally for the best dancers of the night you could have voted for them, they made mistakes!

Karen had big support before the start but her partner and his smile is fast catching up with that. Lilia must be in the Grey area but she also has a huge fanbase

I think last year the best dancers made the final and am confident about that happening again.

There are a couple of couples that need to go out soon to avoid the show turning into a mockery. Can't remember his name, but when that lad from Eastenders got into the final, it ruined the competition for me.
There is real depth of talent this year and once the hopeless cases go, no one will be safe and every week will be very tense.
I hope the public judge the celeb dancing and not their favourite professional. Now that the professionals are becoming celebrities themselves, it is complicating the system. Perhaps in future an X-factor style of voting should happen whereby the judges can save one of the bottom two?

Peter and Erin - Their tango was fantastic last week and I'm liking Erin a lot more this year. However I do worry about him doing Latin. He didn't look great in the swing group dance.
Carol and Matthew - my favourites. Carol has a great attitude and shows real potential.
Matt and Lilia - love Lilia and her choreography but don't like Matt.
Ray and Camilla - loved them the first week, am becoming a bit meh about them

If you think Ray and Camilla are outsiders then you must be watching sommat else.

His was by far the best dance in week 1 and for week 3 he was just as good as any female celebrity.

Watch out those who write off Ray too easily.

Plus the fact he was in Corrie so some muppets* might vote for him as well.

* May I resepctfully suggest that in future as an easy reference point the use of the word 'muppets' is recognised as the forum name for those members of the public who insist on voting for a partnership because the celebrity is in their favourite show or they play the muppets favourite sport or play for their favourite team.

It is an insult, but obviously has no reference to any members of the forum, who support, vote for their favourite purely on dance performance or in very rare cases how cute a bum/chest or fit their partner is.

I agree that Ray was very good in week one - though I prefered Spoony and Ola and look where they are now. If you think talent is what keeps people in the game you must have missed Jan and Anton's staggering performance on Saturday!

No-one called them outsiders..... we suggest they're in that same danger area as Spoony where they're being overlooked because of all the hype over how good Emma & Louisa are or howbad Georgina & Jan are !

and I still think that any 'muppets' as I call them are more likely to have voted FOR Ray than Spoony, and will do so against say Peter, Matt, Carol or maybe even Claire.

Can I ask why Ray over Spoony do you think a coronation Street thing? I personally think all those you have listed above will now start getting picked off week by week although am expecting Georgina to have a backlash this weekend and go.

I dunno: there must be a hell of a lot of muppets who support Manchester United! I do hope so...

Excellent word but I know for many muppets will always been associated with Erin's showdance last year.

It does bug me that ITT seems to show far less of the "grey area" contestants. I'm sure everyone notices when the ones they root for are missed off, but I did think it was a bit odd last week when training clips were analysed on Thursday and Friday, yet Matt and Lilia weren't shown on either day (quite a few couples were covered on both days). I also would have thought they would be mentioned on Monday when Craig analysed the performances since they had a massive 11 point improvement on their first score. But no, we need another explanation of how awful Georgina/James and Jan/Anton were!

I compared Ray and Spoony, because IMHO and the judges marks and comments they were the most similar both times the male celebrities have competed.

Week 1 they were the top two and week 3 they were still quite similarly marked. I thought it more appropriate to compare those two men than say Spoony or Mark, who improved vastly from week 1 or Matt who certainly has not produced as good a performance as Spoony did.

I think, and this theory has been backed up throughout SCD history from Chris wotsitface right up to Georgina, that too many public votes are made based on what the celeb appears in rather then their dancing ability. I mean every judge had to end up begging the public to vote for Kerplunksy to prevent the whole show from being a debacle, cos too many Eastenders fans were keeping Chris in the competition, cos even an idiot knew it wasn't his dance abiility or performance. That is why I consider the Ray, from Coronation Street will always get more public votes than Spoony, the DJ or Matt, the rugby player, no matter what happens on the dance floor.

I think Georgina is sitting pretty casualty being on when it is, I feel bad for her as she's obviously embarrassed to still be in it!

As Ray is starting off well any decline in his performance will work against him quite harshly and Matt only has to improve slightly to be marked so much higher with the judges / public who love to see improvement.

Is it just me...... or does it seem strange that most of the couples in this group.....neither too good or too bad..... seem to be getting the least exposure on ITT ?

Could this be improved by showing more training footage - I mean you took Spoony as an example - I don't really know what he is like as a person but if they showed the training footage we would get to see it more. A lot of the pro dancers getting the votes are those who have been in it for a number of series and not those who are new!

It is a show that is (or used to be) more than just about dancing - we have Strictly Dance Fever for that, the point of the celebs is to get to know them, their progress and how they get on in the dancing.
