hi, this is a little embarrassing i changed the privacy code on my mothers Z400v for her, as she was going to stay at a (nosey) relatives house, since she came back she has turned all the privacy off

she wants it turning back on but niether of us can remember the code

is there anyway to recover it or change it back to the default 00000000?
such as a factory restore or is it lost forever?
she's only had the phone 2 months

Why bring your mother into this? It's clear this is YOUR phone we are talking about? You've prob got pics/texts on it that you don't want your other half to see!?

Anyway, if you really have forgotten it your best bet is to take it for a firmware upgrade (very cheap) and it completely defaults the handset in the process.

I recently was in the same situation as you, and was told to reset my phone by typing in *2767*2878# without the sim inserted. It worked perfectly for me.
