I just hope his shouty monster act doesn't get her a load more votes - if you want to be sympathetic people, stop voting and get her out of there. I very much doubt she'd thank you for keeping her in.

I read on another thread that Georgina alledgedly went out clubbing it to some showbiz party & was up til the early hours, which was why James had the hump. If this is true I don't blame him (& it explains her terrible eyebags, for someone of her tender age).
She has a law degree? Well that has just intensified my dislike of her silly, dizzy "bimbo" I'm a pathetic Creature & can't remember what foot to stand on "act".

If it's true that Georgina turned up to training late and hungover then James's anger is understandable, though not justified. Brendad got angry with Sarah over the same things...

According to the clip last night, the argument happened because she was starting the routine on the wrong foot, he corrected her and she came back with the same excuse, I'm not a professional dancer! Now I know it wasn't right the way he talked to her but if I was her and scraped through to this week I would bloody make sure I knew which foot to start the routine on!

You would be amazed how many people who try to learn to dance have trouble with left and right!!!

Dancingles, that is so true!! As a dance teacher I have lost count of the number of times I have to show people which is left and right. To be honest, it is not just dancers sometimes, I know a dance teacher who writes L and R on his hands to remember which is which, and another, who used post it stickers with L and R on, so Georgina could be in good company there!!!

Starting on the right foot may sound like an easy thing to do... but from the countless time I have to correct my pupils week in, week out... and remind them which foot they start on... it's NOT easy for some. When they're stood there ready to perform.. you can get a sudden panic attack - which foot... right.. no left.. no right... until you're just not sure. I see it happen countless times every day. When I was tiny.. one of my dance teachers used to make us wear ribbons on our left hand so we remembered this was our left arm and the one we had to lift up at the end of the dance. Maybe that method may have worked for Georgina - relate it to something different other than left right as there are a LOT of left rights to think about in the routine itself.

It's evident she isn't enjoying herself. She doesn't want to be there; and she feels guilty that two somewhat better dancers (one of whom, Spoony, clearly had potential) have been knocked out before her, when she clearly knows herself to be bad, and to not deserve to still be there.

Over the moon would be an achievement in that situation...”

I agree with you - Jimmy had pretty much the same expression on his face when he had to stay.

Last week with the jive, I think they actually trained just about the most number of hours (from what they put up on ITT) - and she was still bad, and she was actually training from the Sunday - it must be disheartening to put the work in and still be awful and to know that however much you train and work you are going to be slated by the judges. Then there's the fact that she knows she should have gone, the fact that that people are possibly blaming her for still being there, Spoony, Olga, Craig et al making the comments about sympathy voting made worse by the fact James is married to Olga.

I can honestly say out of all the pro dancers ever on SCD that James has to be the harshest and rudest pro. Maybe if he was actually nice to Georgina she would progrss and enjoy it as dancing should be an enjoyable experience, i wonder if she had been partnered with someone like Anton whether she would have been any better or at least have enjoyed the experience so far - he has the patience of a saint - and im sure would have got the best out of her, or even Ian, Vincent or Matt.

On ITT last night, Louisa said she wanted a partner who was hard on her and tell her if she was going wrong and Georgina said she wanted someone who was gentle, so she could have done better with Vincent.

To be honest, I think that she would be bad whoever she was with, but she would probably be bad and happier!

I think he is a bully and if he was that way with me I could not learn a thing with his method of teaching. I think he is humiliating Georgina and making her even more self-conscious than she already is. There is no need to insult people to get them motivated but this seems to be the way to treat people today (XFactor, SCD judges comments, Anne and her wonderful Weakest Link game show!!). Why are we surprised when kids copy what they see on the telly and bullying is getting to be more and more of a problem in schools. It isn't funny and I do not think it is entertaining to see someone made a fool of.

They must have known she wasn't going to do well because she's due to be in Snow White at the Wimbledon Theatre soon! What's that all about?! Surely she can't be trainging with James AND do Panto!

Well the giveaway was the fact that they hadn't even STARTED practising a foxtrot as the pair of them seemed to have assumed they'd be out last Saturday (James said it on ITT last night).

But - a whole week to learn ONE dance - surely that's not asking too much of an actress used to learning lines......

But most of the celebs do a 'day job' too, as well as the dancing. I think this is something sometimes that the pro dancers would do well to remember!
I can remember Aled doing a tour, and having to practice with Lilia in various halls up and down the country, and Anton practicing with Esther on a ferry.
Sarah Manners and Will Thingy were filming their exits from Holby or Casualty (or whatever!) when they were dancing too.

But as you say, she's *used* to learning lines - she's not used to learning dances. The two things don't necessarily go hand in hand.

Yes, but you get Panto performances evey night, including Saturdays! How can she be in Panto and Strictly at the same time? And she can barely keep up with the level of training she has to do with James, can you imagine her at a rehearsal on top of that?!

Well if Georgina doesn't have time then she shouldn't do it! It's not as if she has a great undiscovered talent in dancing. A lot of the previous contestants were practically filmed doing their day jobs during the other series.

Don't pantos usually start on Boxing Day??? If so, then she should be well out of the programme weeks before it starts! The whole programme finishes before the panto season starts.

That's true - who does panto in October anyway?

I thought panto started alot later but according to the posters, the first ones mid November!

When I learn dances - its a case of memorising the step sequence (like jan obviously does as she was noticed saying them to herself on Saturday) so yes - IMHO it IS like learning lines

But you have to have some understanding of what you are doing - and I think her confidence is now eroded to such a point that she is confused over the simpliest of things - like having to think about left and right when it is normally just automatic.

I feel quite sorry for her actually (and that is a bit worrying because it just isn't me!). I would never vote for her, but I do sympathise. She is just one of those people that nature have decided should have nothing to do with a dance floor (I know all about that, I married one!).

I said, they don't *necessarily* go hand in hand. They may well, for you - that's how your mind processes that information. It doesn't by any stretch mean it works the same way for her.

Personally, whenever I have learned dancing moves (it's been a while) I remember them physically - I would get tied up in knots remembering the step sequences, remembering them as words - which is very different from learning lines.

Evidentally, Jan learns in a similar fashion to you: doesn't mean Georgina does.
