I don't know what Bruno is on, but he has overcooked himself. He used to be funny, but he is now bordering on the ridiculous. In actual fact he is starting to get on my nerves. as for giving out 10s willy nilly so early in the season, he leaves no room for the next shows when people are obviously going to get better. Although i love SCD the judges are going to ruin it by being too over the top.

He's only given out one 10 though, hardly counts as "giving out 10s willy nilly "

yes you are right, his overenthusiasm swayed me into thinking he'd given more, but he will mark my words.

In all fairness, he's only given out one ten, and it was because he'd marked Emma as a 9 and Louisa was better. If he'd marked Emma as 8, Louisa would have got a 9, but he wasn't to know that Louisa would be better, so he marked as he saw it.

EDIT: Err...sorry for the clumsy sentence construction

Emma didn't even deserve a 9 though, so he's still guilty of totally losing the plot when it comes to marks last Saturday. I think some one needs to give him some Ritalin because he is acting annoyingly hyper this series.

I like Bruno, he's funny. So he has his favourites - so which judge doesn't? Len always marks everyone between 6 and 8 (how he gave Georgina a 6 I'll never know) which doesn't distinguish the good and bad at all. Then there's Arlene drooling and gasping at anything in trousers. Craig is the only one who seems fair with his markings.

I think Louisa & Vincent deserved their 10 outa 10.

I think he needs to go...... and get Paul "Killer" Killick on instead........ so funny, such personality..... and a "real" dancer into the bargain !!!

Enough is enough is enough, Beeb - he's annoying me even more than the cameramen and that's saying something !

Agreed! The swearing and his hyperness are just starting to irritate me! Why can't he just be funny like Len?!

I wonder if doing the show in America has had anything to do with it?

Maybe they encourage his OTTness and he can't switch off - him and Len r flying between the two at the mo.

Well, Len did the American show and he hasn't been too OTT.

Bruno is just very...well...camp.

Well I love Bruno.
The man has passion as well as wit.
As for the "swearing" Bull**** is hardly going to change our little darlings morals.

I think Bruno is absolutely ridiculous and Arlene a bitter, bitter oversexed (or undersexed) woman.
Len and Craig are the only judges worth listening to IMO

I like bruno, but he did put me off zoe and denise because he kept overmarking them

Yes Bruno has lot the plot and Arlene's desparation and drooling over the guys is making me feel queasy, She is making herself ridiculous, a caricature of her former self. And she was hot once upon a time.

I adore Bruno, especially as I can't believe he's 50, and I was really moved by his account in a newspaper about growing up as a gay man in the Italian countryside where they don't do that sort of thing.

I loved his leather trousers last year.

Yes, he's way too melodramatic, but he's a good foil to Craig and Arlene who are virtually always negative unless they fancy the dancer

What ever it is i want some! He's hilarious!

Tho i didn't agree with giving a 10 so early on

In all seriousness Bruno needs to be reined in and soon. Contrary to what another poster said on here I do agree that he is handing 10's willy nilly. Even if it is only 1. He alone almost singledhandedly turned the public against Zoe Ball last year. His judging is the least objective and the most dodgy. He will overlook obvious mistakes and then spout some drivel about the "performance" being so good. I've also being watching him on the American version courtesy of Raphael's website and I simply can't believe the way he drools over Mario Lopez.

Len also gives constructive criticism, hes never rude , hes always funny and he wants the contestants to go away, heed his advice and make it work to their advantage. He knows fine well that continuous putting down aint gonna make anyone feel better about their dancing ability, plus he saw on Saturday from the montage of James and Georgina what an awful tinme shes having and he didnt like it all.

He certainly is not objective enough. I think i am right that he gave emma a 9 when she made some pretty dire mistakes. Having seen the playback quite a few times since Saturday the mistakes are obvious to me and I am not a dance critic. Yes she did put on a great performance, but as I said before, giving people 9s and 10s so early in the competition leaves no room for whats to follow. And if I've made a mistake over a few 9s & 10s, please don't bother to correct me as life is too short for quibbling. I am sure you all get my drift.

I agree with you Stargirl, the marking is poor and doesnt always reflect the performances. You feel the judges have put some of their own drama into their marking.

Completely agreed - I loved Zoe last year and Bruno did her lots of damage with his overmarking. He also overmarked Mark with a 9 this year. I adore Karen and Mark (which might be slightly obvious with my obsessive postings on them ), their Tango was good, but it wasn't a 9, I'll go mental if he starts damaging them in the way he did Zoe last year.

I switch off my ears whenever he starts talking.

Craig gives the nasty criticism, but it's often very accurate.
Len ids the kindly one who helps people with what he says, and doesn't squash them.

They're the only two judges that I pay attention to.

Arlene is a sex-mad old harridan, and Bruno is just...

too exuberant and irritating.

Grrr.
