Very good, and as it's main focus is on being a monitor, it has a 3yr warranty!

I'm happy with it, bought it about 3 weeks ago from Argos.
Not happy that I just found out it's now £50 cheaper than when I bought it. ![]() As a TV, the only thing I don't like about it is that there's no letterboxing option - it just zooms in, pan & scan style (but obviously not as much as on a 4:3 TV). I'd much rather have small black bars on 16:9 images to make it all visible on the 16:10 screen. Not having a letterboxing option kind of defeats the point of having a widescreen TV. As a monitor it's perfect. Last edited by Praxidike : 26-10-2006 at 21:19. |

Quite tempted by one of these myself.
How's the picture quality for standard definition TV viewing? |

The only thing I can think of is on some DVDs, in dark scenes, it all sometimes gets a bit washed out, but a lot of LCD TVs are like that, the contrast ratio just isn't as good as CRT. I would just like to add my thumbs up for this TV as well. I have one which is being used in the kitchen fed by the RF2 output of SKY+. Picture is OK, but not amazing but that's cos its RF i guess. When connectng via scart/phono/DVI i have been REALLY impressed with it.
How much is it in argos now? Got mine from PCWorld for £300 (ish) in Jan. |

As a monitor it's perfect. I'm also considering this same monitor, but it would be for use with a digibox via SCART. Would you be able to answer a few questions: 1. Does the limitation you've found only apply to RF mode ? 2. If you have a SCART device attached to it that's turned on, does the monitor automatically select this as the source, when you turn the monitor on. Or do you have to turn the SCART device off then on again, like with most CRT's ? Thanks a lot, MattC |

I find with Tv's if it says 19" screen and I measure it's never 19" diagonally .
Can you connect a miniMac to this ? Last edited by AubreyStevens : 31-10-2006 at 19:53. |
