He was really good and knowledgeable wasn't he, I hope he becomes a regular on ITT, not bothered about replacing the judges, they are all special in their own way....

Interestingly, he also rated Emma and louise as the two celebrities who should be in the final, as they are both talented dancers. If people are saying the other judges are biased towards these two, perhaps this may prove this isn't the case, they are marking them higher because they are better. This commentator agrees, and there is no reason for this guy to favour them at all.

Yeah I agree, I think Bruno should be fired.....

We need one normal judge, just to balence out all the erractic marking and general unfairness.

I don't think anyone would disagree with his view that Emma and Louisa plus one of the male celebs are the most likely finallists atm, but Emma & Louisa have been slightly overmarked; they *are* better than Carol (who isn't bad/has potential) and Jan and Georgina (who are pants), but not worthy of 35+ marks yet.

A normal judge would be nice - if there isn't enough time, I would quite happily sacrifice Bruno or Arlene to make way for one.

I wouldn't get rid of any of the current judges as I love them all in their own way.

However, I love Philip's voice so he can stay doing the commentary and should have a regular spot on ITT.

He was so sweet and we didn't get any of that silly melodrama we get from the other judges!

He should replace either craig or Bruno, because they are the 2 that seem to change the standard by which they judge the most (in other words they aren't very fair most of the time)

They can't replace Craig, he is the only one of the judges that tell it how it is imo.

I love Bruno, although he does over-mark his fave's imho. Can't we have five judges next year? But then who would they get to do the commentary? Maybe one of the dancers who fancy a rest/break from all that rehearsing?

How do we know? Film was in black and white – it could have been red. Len in a catsuit though? Whatever next?

I hope they haven't replaced Craig on a Thursday with Philip.
The guy was all right, but Craig is the only judge who I actually enjoy listening too.

Phillip seems to be a very fair judge. I agree with all the things he said tonight

Oh Bendymixer am just curious on your take on this: I was talking to a chap last night who used to compete as a junior. He said a lot of the time it was not just about how well you danced but also about which teachers you went to, because the teachers would mark you in the competitions... I was a bit confused so am just paraphrasing here. But has it got a bit of truth in what the chap told me?

Cheers

Problem is the BBC would then have two ballroom dancing experts on the panel and they don't want to lose the 'showy' attitude of Bruno, Arlene or Craig, it might get far too biased to good dance technique.

On Philip Jackson very experienced judge but not the type for SCD if they were to put more mod/lat adjudicators in then some of the real top people please but think really they should leave the judges alone.

Frodora yes your friend is spot on Im afraid sometimes at some competitions and some judges (not all) just mark their own. Some couples go to 4 or 5 top trainers who judge to assist them in competitions ONE of the things I hate about the competitive scene - this applies mainly to normal competitions not the major championships (ie europeans or worlds (mostly).

My brother years ago when competing went to big championships in London and did really well a cetain SCD dancer was then giving out in the dressing room - How did he beat me - How many judges on the board is he going to etc and he wasnt go to any of them - but yes sadly it goes on
