Windows Live Messenger; Now free for life on 3
Mr Cable
27-10-2006
Both new and existing pay monthly customers on 3 will now receive free Windows Live Messenger for life.

Prepayers need no be too disheartened as they will have free access until the end of 2007. That's the end of NEXT year.

Compatible handset required and a fair usage of 6000 instant messages each month.

i think its a good move by 3 to offer a big service like this for free. it could bring a lot off new customers in over christmas

I got the text about it being free, with a link to the website, but it implied it was for new customers. However the message certainly implied it was free for me

While it WAS originally advertised to 'brand new customers only', the three.co.uk website now advises that exisiting customers get it too.

I was using this till i found on http://mess.be/ that they have a nice working copy of the proper WLM and not just the old MSN one that 3 give you.

i downloaded it just now and it works great, much quicker and looks cleaner than the old one. Theres also a menu with some emoticons in it as well

Oddly enough mine has stopped working as well now.

If it does manage to sign in it just lists no contacts
