Transfering voice mail to a PC
I have a Sony Erikson 550i.
Two questions, Is it posible to record a phone conversation on the above phone then dowload it to a PC? Is it posible to download a voice mail from the above phone to a PC? Thankyou |

I don't know that phone. but VM are not held on the phone, but on the network. so you would have to use the voice recorder on the phone to record a call to your voice mail. most phones have this, and can easily transfer the file to the pc.

yes workout how to record calls using the voice recorder. typically you press options in a call and select record. then call your vm and just do it on that. then send the file from your gallery to your pc in what ever way suits you.

With vodafone, you can access your voicemail over the web, or indeed any pop3/imap e-mail clients. They're stored as WAV's and you can save them to your PC. Don't know about other networks.

If you're on Vodafone it's possible to sign up for Vodafone Mail.
Here you get a free email inbox (similar to hotmail) which will also store any voicemail files you receive (Vodafone Mail is an extension of the Voicemail service). Your voicemails will be received as .sbc files, you can then convert them to wav on the Vodafone Mail toolbar. |
