its file sharing, sharing music with others. its only bad if your setting up a market and making huge profits off albums etc that you have copied , the odd song here or there isnt going to affect these millionaire artists |

Limewire is simply awful, anybody suggesting using limewire forgets that it's not just the artists that lost the money but all the people who are working on the eagles at the label and elsewhere.
I know they're on a major and have sold millions of copies, but limewire is stealing. full stop. 79p for a single track on i-tunes is nothing to pay for quality (and a clear conscience!) |

So from your attitude I guess you steal music via PTP then? Sorry I just think anyone who downloads music illegally via any torrent or PTP is a thief and deserves to be caught and prosecuted tot he full extent of the law. Maybe a £10,000 fine will stop them.

So? If an artist has longevity, why should there be a cut-off point in terms of time or money where other people have the right to deprive them of making more? Besides, don't make the mistake of assuming that all artists who have been very successful in the music industry for many years are rolling in it. Many artists who emerged in the 60s and 70s are deprived of a large chunk of their earnings because they were tricked into signing dubious contracts when they were young, desperate and naive. |
