Hi there,
I believe it's still not possible to take out one of those offers you see (6 months / 9 months free line rental etc) on the same network with the same number so you have to take out a new contract with a new number.... or take your number to another network with the offer you want....
but is it possible to :
a) port a number from your network to a Pay As You Go on another network at the end of your contract, get a new contract on your original network, and then port your original number back. If so how long would this take and would both networks let you do this in such a short space of time ?
and
b) if you take your original number to a Pay as You Go, how long is it before this would be cut off if you didn't top up or use it frequently ( I believe it is 6 months on 02 but not sure if there is a limit on T-Mobile or Orange).
also and this may be a silly question as I have never done this before but I remember a time when you couldn't, but....
c) can you port a Pay As You Go Number to a New Contract phone on another network (again as I say I remember that you never used to be able to on Orange, if say you took the number to 3) ?
Thanks
