He didn't play that popular a character in Corrie though, did he? Nathan was a bit of a plank of wood from what I can remember.

Not if you only played a support character for a couple of months with no storyline of your own. He was wasted in Corrie.
Unless you regularly go to the RSC at Stratford to watch plays, you are unlikely to know him. If anything, people might recognised him from Harry Potter 1, rather than Corrie.
