Usually there's always one who sticks out for me but this time, they're all so good I've got 4 favourites!

Claire & Brendan, Emma & Darren, Louisa & Vincent and Mark & Karen!

Can't remember this ever happening to me before. Natasha Kaplinsky, Jill Halfpenny & Zoe Ball were all firm favourites from the start.

Yes, I agree! I think any of the following would make deserving winners (depending on what they do in the coming weeks):

Emma and Darren
Mark and Karen
Louisa and Vincent
Ray and Camilla

And these could sneak it with improvement:

Matt and Lilia
Carol and Matthew

I agree - there are two decent male celebs and two decent female celebs and one male celeb and one female celeb with enough potential to join them.

I try not to have favourites because I believe that the best dancers should win regardless of whether you like their celebrityness or not. I have favourite pros (i.e. Camilla), but I'm not going to vote for them if they end up with a crap partner.

exactly it's all about personal opinion really as so many of them are very good. And the ones that aren't quite as good aren't dreadful, infact all of them have given one good performance except Jan and Anton.

Personally i'm supporting the celebs who have the most natural talent WITHOUT any dance training so I can see them blossom and improve. For me thats Mark and Karen and Carol and Matthew. Plus Matthew and Karen are fantastic dancers so I'm supporting my favourite pro's at the same time

Yeah I'm kinda stuck between Brendan and Claire (though I didn't like their Jive much), Louisa and Vincent, Mark and Karen and Ray and Camilla...

I think its too early for me right now because they all look really good this year...

It's a lot less open than previous years - I mean the two "favourites" with the dance training were far from top today.

I prefer people that improve, and find it hard to support anyone who one or more of the judges has a clear bias for.
So that rules out Emma, Louisa, Mark

From what I've seen on these threads, a lot of people want to see improvement week on week, real growth, workrate and progression as well as chemistry, sparkle, blah, blah.

I certainly do! I want to know that any constructive comments and concerns about performance get taken on board (with dignity and grace) and something gets done about it. For me, I think there are three or four couples who gave the appearance of taking that on board after last week. Oddly (and annoyingly, for me) one of those couples was Georgie and James. I think based on tonight's performance, they deserve to stay, but not necessarily get to the end - unless they show more genuine commitment, graft and grace.

I would like to see Mark, Carol, Matt and Ray progress. I really like Peter and he tries hard. I also think Emma and Louisa are capable of more, but they didn't bring it tonight.

I'm rooting for Louisa out of the girls - and Mark (phwoar, ahem ) out of the boys. I have a soft spot for Brendan and Claire too.

Yeah, I have a soft spot for them, too, after tonight.

I think the judges should be respected and all that, but they aren't flawless, they do make mistakes, they have been a bit shambolic tonight - and it's quite important that someone draws attention to the elephant in the room.

The crappy marking needs sorting out. But I hope it doesn't backfire on the real movers and shakers tonight.

Well I'm in a predicament - as a life long MAN U fan, Peter is GOD to me, but I don't like Erin and wouldn't support her 'partnership' normally, but seeing as it's him I'll make an exception.

I also think Karen and Camilla are great dancers, so I'm loving them and their partners - given the fact that both 'celebs' are quite dishy is helping this too....and how could I not like Anton.........

If any of those go then it's Emma and Louisa...don't really care about the rest!

Am not liking Brendan and Claire - both are muppets

Well said - I completely agree. Len in particular annoyed me when he said "stick to the filth". When they did that he didn't like it! Then he showed himself to be incredibly petulant in the results show, by saying they should go - just because Brendan talked back! The marks were all over the place tonight, and someone needed to address it.

Ooops, bit of a rant

Short answer to the question - no

I have 2 firm, pretty obvious, favourites, but that's because of the pros, not the dancers... out of the rest I cannot choose who stands out for the most!

Not so much struggilng to find a favourite, as it's Emma & Darren and Mark and Karen for me, but struggling to not be really upset at *anyone* leaving, whereas most years I really don't mind that much until it gets closer to the end when my favourites are usually more at risk.

As it stands now, save for Matt and Louisa (who I know is goign to be there until the end, but still....) I really don't want anyone to go !

I am! I have favourite dancers (Mark & Karen) But I adore Matthew, Erin, Camilla & Brendan so I love them all as well!

It doesn't bother me if I don't have a favourite as long as there is good dancing every week. I really want Carol and Matthew to do well but they are not what I would call favourites.

I would love it if there was a stand out couple every week at least or a few that stood out from the pack, unfortunately there isn't so far. Well not for me anyway.

One couple I really look forward to are Peter and Erin especially when they do ballroom.

Ditto. Altho that is a conscious decision on my part. Last year I was backing Colin. This year there are a lot more talented celebs anyway so standard of dance is higher. If anything I am rooting more for the pro dancers than anything. I am absolutely dying to Karen in a Freestyle shoud she make it to the final I think it will be scorching.

The BBC have already killed Camilla's chereography in the Tango and Paso with their crap music so I guess I will look forward to her American Smooth (if they do it this year that is). I'm also looking forward to what Darren comes up with with Emma

My "favourites" have totally changed anyway: before the series started I thought Emma would do well, and just love Darren; I was ready and willing to be a Matt supporter especially as he was dancing with Lilia.

Since then, I've voted for Emma once, Matt not at all, Louisa (who I'd not even heard of prior to the show!) a couple of times, Carole (who I didn't think would do well before I saw her ballroom) also I think a couple of times, and my clear favourite has emerged as Mark - who, prior to the contest, I would have said was cute but imagined unlikely to really shine on the dancefloor. I for one haven't ended up supporting the people I thought I'd support.

PS: I actually think one of the things I'm really enjoying about this year's contest is that it's a bit unpredictable and there are more good to very good dancers than could be in the semi finals - it's still not obvious who will make the medium haul let alone the long haul, and that's quite exciting. There's a lot of potential still to be tapped, I think!
