Here is my take on this week's show (Finally got to see the Highlights!)
Emma & Darren
Emma fluttered lots... stayed on her toes for the entire routine.. .top half was really pretty... footwork was awful. No real 'foxtrot' feel. I found it very false.
My Score = 7 (would have been 6 1/2)
Matt & Lilia
My first impression was that is was rather fast for a Paso. I nicknamed Matt the 'Paso Robot'. He moved from pose to pose with little in between. He had passion but his movements felt blocky. I thought Lilia's dress was an adventurous choice with all the frills - I kind of liked it and didn't like it.

Jan & Anton
The mistakes were obvious. I thought she needed to keep her head to the left a litte more. I think nerves made the posture start to go. There was a good attempt at the footwork and a good try to flow the routine. Shame about all the mistakes and nerves.

Mark & Karen
Loved the start with them both doing the cape movements - but such a shame they weren't quite together. Loved the music. Excellent drama/steps/use of floor. Fabulous jump by Mark. (Note... Karen's shoes/legs were extraordinary... do you think it was to make it look like she was wearing boots?)

Carol & Matthew
Love-love-loved the Dress. Perfect for foxtrot. She did a heel turn. Bonus Points!!! She dragged her heels well. It was gorgeous.. beautiful dip. Beautiful flow..elegant.. lovely top half.
My Score = 9 (10 if she had stepped out some more)
Georgina & James
Good try. Posture needed to be better but very good attempt. Big improvement

Erin & Peter
Seemed to be a LOT of walking in the routine. I thought he had good control and made a great attempt at the Paso although not the best at the steps.

Louisa & Vincent
Were they doing a quickstep? Her posture was awful - her rear end was hanging out all the way round... there was no foxtrot technique at all... she just ran around the room clinging onto Vincent. You can see she has natural movement but for a foxtrot it was a disaster.

Ray & Camilla
Absolutely loved the opening... Ray's cape matching Camilla's dress movements. Amazing! Stunning choreography! This had the 'WOW' factor! Maybe there wasn't enough Paso content but none of the others had much actual Paso steps in either.

Claire & Brendan
They looked very swish. Claire could have held her posture some more as she came away from Brendan a little more than she should at times... but the routine was fab. it suited the music. Lovely start and gorgeous finish. It had the most foxtrot content of everyone with perhaps the exception of Carol & Matthew or at least it was on a par with them.. really enjoyed the performance.

10 = Carol & Matthew (9) (Hard to split between R&C and M&K and they did do the best foxtrot for sure)
