Does Anyone Else Turn The Volume Down When...
... Robert has finished performing and has had his comments from the judges and then he starts to babble on and on and on and thanks everyone on the planet and clutches his heart etc.
Its so tedious and so embarassing  |

No, I just fall about laughing. He's a great guy, and I can't help but smile when he's on screen.

Robert's great. He can't help the way he speaks. He comes from London doesn't he? That's how we speak down here.
Know what I mean? |

Robert makes me smile when he performs and cringe when he starts babbling.

I'm tempted to turn the volume down when Robert's reactions to the judges comments come on (although he's a fantastic performer and obviously a nice guy I'm getting Chenai 'I'm doing it for ma brother' flashbacks)
I'm tempted to turn the picture off whenever Ray comes on. I'm tempted to turn both the sound and picture off whenever Ben comes on

I can't stand his antics and I don't see him as having the X-factor. I thought it was a patchy performance of the song tonight - good in parts, but hit and miss.

I really like Robert, becuase although he is over energetic at least we are seeing the genuine guy. His comments and behaviour might be cheesy and slightly irritating but at least you know its coming from the heart.

I wasn't too impressed with Roberts plea for votes and telling us the viewers to keep him in because he has an unborn child to support. That's begging in my books.
I like him, but the way he pleaded tonight was off putting. |

robert is one of the most genuine there, what you see is what you get, plus he has got a great voice. I love his energetic, upbeat personality.

Generally, I like Robert, but I could have done without the "I need to feed my son" line (or whatever he said) tonight. Still, at least he's stopped blubbing.

Robert is like a mockingbird. There's not an ounce of malice or insincerity in the guy. Anyone else who made such a direct plea for a vote would have pissed me off very quickly, but with Robert I just laugh.
All he wants to do is sing his heart out for us, enjoy himself, and he wants to make some decent money instead of working as a hospital porter - can you blame him? I bet he's sat at home these past 2 years watching others on this show and thinking, I could maybe have a go at that, but wondering if he's good enough. Seems like a baby on the way was the spur he needed to try and get somewhere with this so why not be honest about that. I probably would feel differently if I didn't enjoy his performances and voice, and for once I'm glad to see someone who really enjoys performing, even if he has to learn to control his energy a little more. We're constantly being told that the other contestants were/are really nervous, and everyone is trying to be very subtle about their pleas for votes and getting their excuses in quickly, but not Robert, he just seems to be loving it. |

I actually do when Ashley speaks. He's just so cringeworthy. "I'd like to thank the Lord."
