I've followed the herd and gone for Mark and Karen, partly cos of his progress and partly cos of Karen.

Mind you with the 'H77 seal of approval' they'll probably get dumped now.

No one

I voted for Carol and Matt though. She's slowly working her way up the board and I think there's still a lot more to come.

Basically what we have now is

TOP DIVISION

Mark and Karen
Emma and Darren
Louisa and Vincent
Ray and Camilla

BIG GAP
SECOND DIVISION
Carol and Matthew
Claire and Brendan
Matt and Lilia

CLINGING ON FOR DEAR LIFE

Peter and Erin
Jan and Anton

I cant help feeling Mr Coles histrionics are because he is not even top of division 2

If you're going on last weeks performances alone I'd say it's more:

Top Division
Mark and Karen
Carol and Matthew
Ray and Camilla

(Big gap)
Second Division
Claire and Brendan
Matt and Lilia
Emma and Darren
Louisa and Vincent

Relegation
Jan and Anton
Peter and Erin

So no Brendan's histrionics are about the blatent bias and nonsensical marking and unhelpful comments

I think Jocko Homo's table and comments are spot on!

Mark and Karen still.

If they continue like this I think they may well win. And they come across as such lovely people I just feel all fuzzy and soppy watching them

Mark and Karen.

They're the only ones to make me want to stand up and applaud.

It's hard for me to separate who I think are the best dancers and who's partnership/friendship I like the most .

I've done the decent thing though and voted for Mark and Karen as the ones who's dancing I like best .

I agree too. Now we have seen a couple of Latin and a couple fo Ballroom the top division has to be those who have strength in both.

It is rather boring, but Mark & Karen are my favourites too (Mark stood out during the group dance). I don't have the hots for him or anything (I find that all a bit tiresome), but I think he is the best dancer. I've never been that keen on Karen (prefer Camilla), but Ray isn't as good as Mark so it's a no-brainer for me...

Carol and Matt. Their foxtrot was elegant and perfectly performed. Should have been the top foxtrot of the night.

What a lop-sided poll. I hope other dancers improve or it's going to be very boring and predictable.

I think that it's reassuring that it reflects only 309 opinions so far whereas nearly 9million people watch the show.
It puts all the comments here into perspective, doesn't it?

Yeah it's hardly a definitive poll!

(though I'm still sad enough to be chuffed Mark and Karen are leading... )

Yes, but no survey ever purports to take into account every person's view, yet they can still provide meaningful results if the sample is representative and non-biased.

The lead is so great (just under four times the percentage for the next most popular couple) that I do think it is indicative of where the public support lies.

Sorry, Shappy, but I have to disagree with you. Those on this thread are SCD mad (including me) and are not representative of the general public. Those supporting Karen and Mark were determine to support them no matter what regardless of how Mark perform because they like Karen as a person. I also met her and think she's a really nice person but that isn't enough to earn my votes. Luckily for them, he can dance so that's ok. Remember what happen with Bill last year? People at home have no professional favourites, if anything they are more likely to vote for favourite celebrity and Mark is hardly a household name. If he win, it will be because he gave the best perfomance visually.

I agree with that to a certain extent. However, I don't think all SCD mad fans are on here (I know some who love SCD but don't come on here because they are too busy, don't have internet access all the time etc.), so those SCD mad fans, those "people at home" will probably also have favourite professionals.

I also think it is SCD mad fans who are most likely to phone - I just can't imagine voting in a show I'm not that into. Therefore, in some ways, SCD mad fans are representative.

Also, in previous serieses, Jill was a clear fave on the forum (and won), so was Darren (and won), whereas Zoe had a lot of negative comments on here and nearly went out before the final (even though no-one can argue she wasn't at least one of the top 3 dancers). It could just be a coincidence, but somehow I think not.

I sincerely hope you are right and it is a closer competition than the poll indicates, as that would make things far more interesting.

My Nan adores the show but doesn't use this forum ( I think anyhow! )

A lot of what she likes can be based on Tabloid papers - last year she didn't like that she read Zoe had lessons so she was anti Zoe. She was as interested in their personalities backstage and judged dance by dance when she voted.

I'm obviously far to shallow for that but I only started voting for Mark when I liked his dances
