If we had round the clock coverage of X Factor like Big Brother, would you tune in or are you happy with the show as it is with Xtra Factor?

I would love it to be 24/7 so we could get into the contestants on the show.

Do you think you would be influenced by nice personalities but not necessarily good singers?

I.e. would 24 hour coverage affect your voting decision on a Saturday night?

I'm so glad it's not 24/7 as I have a life while Xfactor is on, unlike BB.

who I liked would definitely influence my opinion, but not to the extent that it would cloud my judgement on who could sing, who had the xfactor and who had to go.

I remember they did something like that for fame academy and i quite like it but yes i definitley think it has an influence on voting.
I think if your favourite act was an arrogant git or a moody bitch behind the scenes it would naturally change your opinion of them (even this is mainly singing contest)

LOL Poochland....I know what you mean.

I think we are all Big Brothered out and need to remember there's life out there somewhere.

I would like it. We'd see if people are genuine/nice.

I loved Fame Academy just for that reason and only tuned in much later when I found out.

I agree with you in terms of how we would be influenced to a certain extent, though I'd like to think I'd judge on talent only....but probably not, especially if he/she irritates the hell out of me.

Not at all. I watch Big Brother for Big Brother, and I watch The X Factor for The X Factor. I'd hate Big Brother if every Friday night the housemates sang for our votes, and I'd hate The X Factor if they introduced a live feed from their house.

So, no.

I wouldn't like that at all

I don't care what sort of personality a person has if they give me pleasure when listening to them

If we all liked singers based on their life 24/7 there would be no rock in this world

Bl**dy hell that is so true.

I think I would possibly hate the lot of them

So maybe not so good to do a 24/7 after all. Mind you we would be having some great arguments here much like Big Brother and that ain't all bad is it...would give us loads to debate about?

Me too TJ. That's what got me riveted to it in the first place. I loved the reality TV aspect of it.

No, I've had it with all that - I decided when watching 'Make me a supermodel' this week that I no longer want to watch contestants sitting around, arguing preparing food whatever - I went them to do something to entertain me - I think BB this year killed the 24/7 reality thing for me ...

i would like it too but I'm sure the BBC have the rights to the concept of it and would never give it up to ITV
apparently there will be another celeb fame academy for comic relief again so that will fill a void.

I wouldn't be interested in a live feed from the house but I did used to enjoy the late afternoon shows on ITV2 that they did for Pop Idol where they would show them rehearsing. I'd like it if they did that for an hour or so every evening and we'd get an idea of how things were developing over the week and a bit more of an insight into their personalities without the overkill.

I don't think it'd appeal to me as this show is supposed to be about how talented the acts are, not if they are cuddly and cute people. personality does play a part, of course, but a show that was 24/7 would probably lead to an act winning for their personality not the way they sing....

Sounds like a good balance and I agree. I think in all honesty that 24/7 would definitely influence our votes and we'd possibly vote out good singers over personality.

Mind you, that seems to be happening now without the reality bit.
