I really like Llwybr Llaethog. They're quite obscure and sing in the Welsh language, but they are my favourite band from my own country. I don't really listen to much Welsh music, though.

The Manics are the best followed by the Stereophonics ( 1st 2 albums) and Catatonia ( Again 1st 2 albums).

The best Welsh band of all time is, and I write this without any fear of contradiction, Budgie. Couldn't be anyone else really.
I do mean the line up of Shelley, Bourge and Phillips of course. Never quite the same after that. |

In agreement with you 100% there. I'm slightly ashamed that I was part of booing mob at Newport Centre back in 95ish when the Manics played there. Gorky's were supporting, but they hadn't long appeared on the scene and us "English-Welsh" down in SE Wales didn't really get them and so they practically got booed off stage.

Feeder now and Stereophonices back then. I confess I liked GLC- they didn't take themselves too seriuously. I wonder though how much each of them got paid? With so many it can't have been much

Manic Street Preachers
Lost Prophets used to be quite good (their first album was great) but they are pretty crap now to be honest. |
