Well why not embrace this? It may be the start of a new type of interaction between ITT and this forum. Maybe next week they'll ask for questions to Mark and Karen (which I doubt would get the same kind of outrage this thread has prompted).

Last year was the first time they invited us to be on ITT. There always has to be a first time.

If they do start doing this with all couples, that'll be brilliant - it just seems very strange that this had randomly happened in week 5 of the competition.

I'd like to ask them do they think their marks were perhaps a little generous on the night based upon the other couples they saw? Does it make them feel a little uncomfortable?

Do they wish that certain judges *cough*Craig*cough* could appear to be more objective as it is possibly hurting their chances of winning to be seen as teacher's pet?

Does she prefer that latin or the ballroom and why?

What does she think the most difficult dance would be?

I agree with you, Shappy. Let's come up with some good, intelligent questions and then if any of our questions get asked tonight, we should expect us to be asked for other couples too.

Maybe I'm being cynical, but it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if the 'price' the BBC paid to have Emma on the show and have her record the CIN single was to 'ensure' that she stayed on the show as long as possible, thus gaining many hours of free publicity and a welcome shot in the arm to her dwindling career.

I wouldn't go so far as to say that they fix the phone votes, however, as we can see, there's an awful lot they can do in terms of asking the judges to mark generously, giving her a superb partner, hyping her up in any way they can and generally treating her like a superstar instead of a has-been who can't sing.

Emma is with '19' Management and I wouldn't put it past them to place all sorts of conditions on her participation.

And on the 'Star Couple' bit. They definitely aren't in my eyes but hey I suppose the BBC needs this angle for some reason..... I don't mind them but they're not special (in the dancin' nor their chemistry).
We all know what that 'lable' Star couple did for Zoe (Kling-on) Ball & Ian last year.... ....did do them no favors in the end, did it?

Darren and Emma didnt ask to be called the star couple and also have not asked for the judges to favour them in anyway.

Exactly. Why is everyone bashing them all of a sudden?! In my opinion, people are saying they are the star couple, not being told... it's something to rise to. Darren and Emma have nothing to do with what the BBC nor anyone else thinks... it's fair enough that you all have your opinions, but just because they (Darren and Emma) are mentioned a lot, the BBC are ultimately favouring them? I'm sorry, but I don't think that anyone is being fair. IMO, you are only making them the stars of the show, nobody else. you chose to believe and react, nobody else.

If fairness is to prevail, shouldnt the ITT researcher ask for questions for all pending contestants? Not just for Emma and Darren.

'Star couple' is just a term of description. I think people are taking it too literally and using any excuse to bash Emma and Darren - they didn't write this and aren't asking for preferential treatment, I'm sure!
