Hi seeing as we are all having some problems with relates to favoritism, and comments by judges, and proffesionalism, thought it would be an idea to start a thread to make our views known to the producers of ITT, who generally look at this site for an insight into how we are feeling regarding the current series, and what issues we are discussing.

Firstly, and my main two are these

Len and arelenes personal attack on claire and brendan, both with comments such as 'stick to the filth' even before brendan spoke back to the judges, as well as there personal vendetta continuing into the results show and them trying to sway the public for no other reason than brendan voicing HIS opinion that they were inconsistant with the comments, then giving marks which no way reflect this.

also the favortism by craig to emma (also the producers do the same trying to show louisa favoring emma, by saying they are the favorites), as well as bruno with lousia!

And not forgetting i dont actually mind someone saying they looked sexy, but arelene goes way beyond this and its making uncomfortable viewing not to mention making mark and ray extremely uncomfortable, remebering they have their children in the audience!

Anyone else!???

I do sometimes wonder what the reaction would be if a male judge came out with arlene-esque comments about the female celebs..I don't think I need to explain the kind of comments I mean, but it's like the way woman can say all sorts of things in offices and get away with it and men would get into a lot of trouble. (Based on personal experience anyway)..

Excellent idea.

I have made all similar points in SCD Producers thread, but I agree with all the above.

Also...the downgrading of the band and awful music.

And some of the language, in particular Bruno's which is unacceptable in a 'family' show.

Haha.

I wonder would it be a better idea if they did something like on the "Maria" show where the Great British Public decides on the bottom two and the panel decides who goes ?

The camera work - ridiculous, I don't want fancy swooping zooming shots, I want shots of the dancing and the footwork

I agree totally. It makes it seem like the BBC are trying to manipulate the viewers to vote the way they want. Len and Arlene were way out of order with Claire and Brendan.

I dont like the way the judges make personal attacks on the celebs. Constructive criticism is ok. It is usually destructive though. I think the judges have got too cosy in their seats and thi nk they can do and say whatever they like. Arlene is well past her sell by date and is just an embarrassment.

Oh yes, that as well. *applauds*

The list goes on.....

I have complained to the BBC today regarding Saturday's show and the use of innuendo and the sleazy and repulsive comments scripted for Bruce Forsyth. As a family show this is unacceptable.

I also agree with the comments here regarding the judges comments about "filthy" dancing and Arlene's toe curling references to certain male dancers.

It is appalling for adults to behave in this way on a teatime family show. I am disgusted with it and if it continues this Saturday I won't be watching any more.

I did think that would be a good idea, in the last series, as this series they are being too public about there favorites, for example if mark was in bottom two would arelene vote him out!?? i doubt it

same for craig with emma, and bruno with louisa!

unfortunatly public will have to do othis series till we get new judges!

They've got far too big a share in this series. Also dominating the results show.

Downgrade them. It's the dancers who are doing all the work and making this thing watchable.

Here, here. Some of those spinning camera moves made me feel incredibly dizzy. Such high-octane antics mask a performance's natural highlights and prevent the viewer forming a proper appreciation and critique on footwork, balance, choreography, etc. What's the use in that?

I'm honestly amazed that they've got away with it up to now....

Quite appalling. I can look back on the 3rd series (happy days) and it was never as bad as this, and more lighthearted with it. This has a seriously nasty underlying tone.

Talking of Bruno, he actually used the F word on Saturday night! Not sure what it was about as it was during the interval I think but it was quite embarrassing really when there were the celebrities children in the audience.

If they do it again during the V Waltz I probably be sick, dancers twirling, camera man twirling, my stomach twirling....

i dont think that would work they would need an extra judge then so as the vote would never be equal, plus if one of the faves were in the bottom two then the judges would be saving their fave each week!
I think we should get a new show where we find 4 new judges to take over the current ones and the public vote for the best 4 judges

Good plan, maybe then they would realise they arent irereplaceable!

I'm not certain of his name, think it's John Byrnes? Wasn't he originally brought in as a consultant when they did the first series as well as dancing in it? Get him in to judge, or at least comment on the current situation?!

i find the highlights show sometimes better than the live one as the drivel from the judges is cut out and bruce only talks to 2 of them, maybe if bruce only talked to 2 of them on the saturday night and they wouldnt argue between themselves.

Nahh I always hated that in the Maria show. It gives the judges a chance to keep their favourites in despite their performance on the night in the danceoff/singoff and was the reason why Abi and/or Aiofe lost their place in the final to plastic siobhan.

It needs to be sorted though some way biased judges cant just pick there favorite and even though they perform badly,
i.e louisa and emma, STILL GET HIGH MARKS!!!

Missed the swearing but if it did happen its completely unforgiveable.

I don't think the male judges would get away with the kind of comments Arlene is making.

The camera work is completely inappropriate; yes, its an entertainment show and not just for dancing afficiandos but we want to see whats going on, not just the rictus grin/awful gurning some of the celebs display...

Basically....agree with all the other forumites.

Used to love the show but now theres a big dollop of irritation creeping in!

but what I'm saying is that the Maria format gives them even more leeway to be biased... it allowed Andrew Lloyd Webber control exactly who his Maria was and it would do the same in SCD

...Saturday's show was one of the best.

Judging by the comments here I think the BBC producers will be well pleased with themselves.

The judges provide great entertainment and compliment the dancing entertainment.

Brendan can also do no wrong in my book.

We all have opinions which rightly we are free to air. SCD isn't perfect but undeniably IT'S ENTERTAINMENT pure and simple.

OK, as a dancer I'd like to see more footwork but for those watching that have two left feet they'll soon switch over to X factor if the show concentrated too much on tehnicalities.

witchiwoman, i know what you mean. there's always going to be decisions and comments that people don't agree with, but this series is getting a bit too controversial..

it's supposed to be entertainment, not something that makes viewers this annoyed..maybe i'm taking it too seriously, but something has changed
