Does anybody have one, and if so what do they think of it?

I've had one for about a week, it was £399 from Woolworths (excellent value).

It's in stock at Woolworths in Bromley town centre in kent. Mind you I didn't like the fact that the technosonic name was just a sticker and it was falling off the t.v.

It might be an excellent telly but that made it look very cheap.

Just because its on display does not mean they have got any to sell! See the threads mentioned above.
The name sticker comes off as it was stuck over where the original Thomson logo was. If I had one i would just peel it off anyway.

They had one boxed on the shelves ready to go.

They better not have, I was in there on SUNDAY practically begging for one and they turned me down.

They have 2 empty boxes on the shelves towards the back of the store, but will ring them tomorrow (you never know...)

What's the point of empyy boxes on the shelves. No wonder woolworths are loosing their way. It doesn't make any sence at all to advertise something that is not even in stock.

I brought the 32inch Dual from Asda. It was in a box, on a shelf. I picked it up and took it to the checkout to pay for it. That's what customers want, If woolworths can't work that out then they are loosing their way even more still.

Confusing shop, I can get everything they sell, somewhere else, better and cheaper.

The one time they do have a GENUINE bargain in and their supply chain collapses and they haven't got any in stock.

Maybe I am a bit old fashioned, I mean I am 31 years old, but if you are going to have something on display advertising for sale then have the f**king thing in stock.

Anyway there is an Argos around the corner, a Dixons down the road and a Richer Sounds 5 minutes walk away. If they don't have it just tell the manager you are going to take your hard earned cash somewhere else instead.

Also try ebuyer, they don't have any 32inches at the moment but I bet they will soon.

Just called bromley (to make sure like), spoke to the manager and there's none there. Latest news from him is that there'll be no more sent to stores to sell of shelves. They'll get some available on the in store ordering system to sort out (some \ everyone) on waiting lists, but thats about it.

As for the boxes stuff, like the manager said to me, it's in the individual stores interest to get as many people there TV as poss (even if they have to wait / get annoyed) through their store. All goes down as sales to them....

Ho hum, now on 2 lists (my local store didn't bother ringing people on saturday...) Might add my name to another big store too...

Well appears to me that woolworths don't have a clue about customer service. If the store manager hasn't got any in stock and no prospect of getting any then WHY HAVE THEY GOT ONE ON PROMINENT DISPLAY in store.

If you haven't got any in stock then don't display them as such, It's not rocket science.

The pressure they put on stores to perform and reach sales targets is immense, so much so, that in a situation like this (limited supply, over demand) the stores are nearly fighting with each other...

Not good for the customer all in all, but thats kind of woolies mistake all over(short term gain for long term detriment)

Looks like they have stopped doing this telly as it's not on their website anymore. The next one up is the Relisys 32" HD Ready at £449.99.

Guess the demand was too great for the Techsonic

word of warning!
TESCO do a 32inch technosonic at £450. It is not the same model as the woolies one. The tesco techno's quality is what you would expect from a £450 TV (its not bad but the woolies one is superior)

Am trying not to count chickens, but the TV was available on the site again tonight for about 30 minutes. I got an order in, (not sure if it'll stick though). Basically if anyone else is after this TV, keep an eye on the threads at AVforums and MSE on this TV, they seem to get updated fairly quickly when there's a change in status...

If you live in or near Islington, London, get yourself to Woolies up the Angel. Saw at least four Techsonic 32" ones stacked up this morning.

Personally I'm gonna wait and get a Samsung next year - been caught out by cheap before!

most stores have empty boxes on display! I would doubt they have any, but it might be worth a ringing them http://www.woolworths.co.uk/ww_p2/st...or/index.jhtml
