My 6230i has been unlocked from Virgin but will not work properly with a Virgin, T-Mobile. O2 or Vodafone SIM. The phone itself works with these SIM cards bu when I try to save a number in the SIM it says 'Operation Failed' yet when I turn the phone off then on the number is there in the SIM. However it all works ok with Orange. I want to fix this problem and also clear the Virgin branding.

My questions are:
1: Where can I have this done?
2: Will it fix the operation failed problems as well as debranding?
3: And roughly how much does it cost and how long does it take to reflash the phone?

Thanks

upgrading the s/w may fix your problem - depending if its a known s/w problem or not
expect to pay about £10
takes about 15 mins
if its still under warrenty then service center will upgrade it free, but will only use the latest virgin flash

It was second hand on ebay. Do they offer reflashing at the market? Or shall I just cut my losses and get a new phone?

dont matter if it 2nd hand or even if you have no receipt
the warrenty is with nokia and you get 24 months from date of man
these will do it by post if you cant get it done locally
