I am 32 years old and thinking of taking up..........ballroom dancing lessons only to keep fit, meet people, socialise etc, does anyone have any special tips they would like to share with me,i tried salsa last year but wasnt keen on it
I'm afraid I can't help you with where to go as I'm from down south but personally I would suggest going to a beginners class before you tried a private lesson. A lot will depend on a teacher but you might enjoy it more if you're with other people.
I started ballroom dancing a year ago and I love it - I got into it in a big way and I now compete regularly. However it is the best fun socially and a fantastic way to keep fit - definitely give it a try. Maybe drag a friend along to a lesson with you!

That's my masterplan, but I'll probably wait until the new year when the Strictly rush has dropped off.
