Sound breakup on a DHD4000

I am suffering from breaks in sound when playing back recorded progs that usually were on the lesser channels although there is no picture breakup or any artifacts on the screen. The original program source does not show any such breakups when listening live and recording at the same time. The sound usually has a break in it and then repeats the previous 2 seconds worth which is very annoying. Any ideas?

Have you got subtitle recording switched on? Turn it off and see if that makes a difference to future recordings.

I get weird sound glitches not dissimilar to that you describe on my box on occassions. Usually after skipping ahead a bit. I find momentarily pausing the playback and restarting is enough to calm it down and get it back in synch.

I have always assumed it is a subtitle recording issue.

YMMV - Rufus.

I get that fault too, and I have subtitle recording turned off.
