I heard a song the other day - with lyrics of:

'You don't give/bring me roses, you don't give/bring me flowers'

It was a dance song with Female vocal.

Anyone know what song it was,

Thanks in advance.

The only song I know that has similar lyrics is a song by Barbara Streisand called "you don't bring me flowers". But, it isn't a dance song.

Was it 'You Bring Me Flowers' by Sweet Female Attitude?

It was a vocal garage tune from around 1999

Vocals are:
I'll bring you flowers in the pouring rain
Did you know living without you is driving me insane
I'll bring you flowers, I?ll make your day
The tears you cry, I?ll dry them all, away

........or it could be the theme tune to "Prisoner: Cell Block H", which has the opening line "He used to bring me roses", but not really a dance song either, in fact, not a dance song at all.

There was dance a song in the 80's that went something like that.

Can't remember who it was though, but I used to like it and had the 12"

It sounds to me that it could be the Neil Diamond song(which has been sung by Striesand) It isn't a dance song but then again it could have been jazzed up.

If it is the song "You Don't Bring Me Flowers" it was actually a duet between Striesand and Neil Diamod. Useless info I know, but thought I'd mention it anyway!

Sounds like (Sidney) Haywoode - Roses. Or at least a cover of it.

Is this it?

You're welcome. It's a top tune, rarely heard these days but great to hear now and again. It was nice to see the video for the first time while I was looking it up for you!
